if ur car stereo has a AUX 3.5 mm jack you can hook that to SGS 3.5 mm jack and it will play music, alternatively if ur car stereo has bluetooth stereo then pair it with SGS it will work fine...

X The procedure entry point_expect_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll

Please help.

Sorry for another question!
My location in* google maps shows a location in US. Someplace called canyon county, but I am in Chennai.
What am I doing wrong??

If I connect my internet to Airtel DSL, my location is somewhere near Seattle in the US even though I'm in Bangalore. This is using wireless network to determine my location since I have no GPS signal inside a building.

If I connect through EDGE, it locks my location quite accurately only after I updated the firmware with DDJG4

This could be a bug

Let me get this straight. You have internet connection on your computer, and you want to share that with your Galaxy S via USB.

Shorter answer: Impossible

Long answer: Impossible

THE answer: 42
ba dude it has a connection mode as PC internet wat does dat suppose to mean it used to work with my old windows fones jesus i need to now buy a wi fi router now :(

Can someone please confirm that the internet browser on the Galaxy S supports HTTP proxy via wi-fi? I've read this post on xda forums and I just want one of you guys to see that it is indeed true on the SGS.

I've given up on the hope that Android will one day support system-wide HTTP proxy settings and would be happy enough if the browser alone would work. How can one seriously promote Android to business users if proxy settings (which every company and educational institution uses) are unsupported, especially since users were requesting it since the first edition of Android?

If I go to google.com on the phone, it'll show where it thinks I am. At home where I use airtel dsl on wifi, it shows Bellevue in Seattle.

When I'm outside on EDGE, it shows Bangalore. The google maps app also shows the same.

@Nick & Kalpik:
I also went through around 3 weeks ago that there is no need to repartition the internal memory everytime if we don't change the PIT file...that's why I mentioned that when posted about flashing.

I found this app called Proxymator which enables setting up a system-wide proxy (but without authentication). My college internet requires a proxy and it's a 100% deal breaker for me if I can't use the uber-fast free internet on my phone. So, can someone please test this app out for me?

Thanks by the truckloads.

Code:
su
busybox tar zcvf /sdcard/efs-backup.tar.gz /efs
and

Code:
su
cat /dev/block/stl3 > /sdcard/efs_dev-block-stl3.img
This will come handy if you ever face IMEI corruption.
Sorry mate to ask you again...
Why two codes are there ? Which one is the restoration code ? Please give me some idea what they are doing individually to make me confident about what I am doing...I don't really get that you know :(
Sorry mate :(

^^ These are just codes for backup.. The first one is to create a gzip file (like a zip file), which you can extract back to /efs to restore. The second one is to take a raw backup of the /efs partition (like disk imaging, ghost etc), which you can restore via dd. Lets not go into the details of restoring as of now. Just keep a backup ;)

OK man....we all know you will be there :)
Another question to you...
In ADB I saw a command connect <host>:<port> -which connects to a device via TCP/IP.
Is it possible to share my broadband connection using this command ? .....as I do with my old computer using TCP/IP and DNS.....

Sorry, no idea about that :(
That's OK....I thought if we can connect a device using Host and TCP/IP...then it *may* be possible to share pc connection...and it should be. You may go for some R&D when you will have some time...
If it is possible that will be very helpful for everyone who doesn't have wifi :)

I love to listen to local Radio Stations while driving my bike. During Ads I pushed accept call button on Headphone and expected radio to jump next station(Like Symbian, even Nokia 1650) but nothing happened, pushed again, same reasult, Pused longer and it started my Music player. I was like..... nevermind.

Default handset SUCKS , get SONY or creative headsets...it rocks...

Again Radio Bug, I was happily listening radio and driving, a call came, I replied can ended, I expected radio to resume, but Guss what it didnt. again I was like ..... Nevermind

there is an option in radio/music player settings to continue playback after call.
