Okay guys, this version corrects some of the weird restart issues brought to light in the last version. Sorry for any trouble you might have had...it took me quite a while to debug, re-code, and re-test this.

Cheers and enjoy!

Version 2.7 - 22-May-2011:

- revised and improved service start/suspend/shutdown and notification clear handling

- cleanup current settings display and other logged values (especially debugging info)

- lots of minor cleanup and improvements

- turned off debug msg logging by default for fresh installs (option to enable is still present)

BattMonX

All,

Version 2.9 of BattMonX has been uploaded to the Market. This version includes code to auto-recognize the 1% charge_counter file used on many Motorola phones. It also addresses the product-name changes that CyanogenMod ROMs impose that kept prior versions of this app from recognizing a Moto Droid family phone and auto-identifying their battery status and LED notification files.

Donate version of this app will be uploaded shortly.

Cheers and thanks for everyone's support and kind feedback.

RECENT CHANGES

Version 2.9 - 09-Jul-2011:

- improve auto-identification of charge_counter file (especially for Moto Droid X's running CM7;
this should also help other phones that support the charge_counter file)

- several minor updates and fixes

Version 2.8 - 13-Jun-2011:

- minor fixes to better support Moto Droid phones recent GingerBread 2.3 update:

* auto-recogize GB's different LED directory (w/o needing to manually locate files)
* fix LED-always-on reboot issue for Moto Droid's running GingerBread
* if you have problems or experience unusual issues coming from v2.7, please try an un-install and re-install

How did I miss this!?!?! Downloading now. Thank you for all of your hard work Scary!!

LOL, IDK ;) :).

Thank you very much!

Trying to work on some updates and enhancements (I think there's a really minor preferences saving bug where it might prompt you with the disclaimer screen more than once depending on how quickly you exit the app after first installing--its fixed but not yet released).

Thanks for your kind words and support!

Root Toolkit for Android

New version just uploaded.

Here's the change log:

[version 1.2 - 09-April-2012]:

- support save/protect root and restore root feature for devices with a ext2/3/4 system filesystem

The new save/protect and restore root features should help folks when an OTA comes-out (make sure to save root sometime before accepting an OTA).

Enjoy!

Great now all I have to do is get the droid fighter and learn to do this stuff and I will be set :).

PS - I live in Indy too alien!

Sweet!

There's a few of us "out there" (here), LOL (and a few green Guides that are from or in Indiana).

I'm the only GNex'er here where I work though (that I know of...lots of Androids (Epic 4G, Intercept, Bionic, Droid X, HTC G1, Atrix)).

We're taking over! :p

Root Toolkit for Android

Version 1.3 just uploaded to the Market:

[version 1.3 - 22-April-2012]:

- support freezing (disabling) or thawing (enabling) applications

..(take care before deciding to freeze a system app)

LOL, this one wasn't as easy or straight-forward as I had imagined it would be--no wonder there's so few apps out there that have the freeze/thaw feature ;) :).

Cheers and enjoy!

Root Toolkit for Android

New version published last night with several new features.

Here's the change log:

[version 1.5 - 27-June-2012]:

- support options for saving a newer su binary (currently v3.0.3.2) instead of the currently installed su binary; helps ensure root is retained when restoring root (especially after an OTA update)

- support ability to remove saved root

- added some device information to Current Root & Mount Status screen

- Galaxy Nexus only: 1) support stock 4.0.4 recoveries for GSM & LTE versions, 2) include ability to flash new Team Win Recovery Project touch recoveries

Cheers and I hope this is useful to all :).

I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly, the app that you uploaded that is suppose to be able to root and flash cwm automatically with out unlocking the bootloader? I'm new to this type of rooting and flashing. I have rooted many other devices by all in one batch files but not this way. Thanks!

Hey there, Po1sono1d :).

Actually, you have to already be rooted in order to use this app (it won't root your device).

It will allow you to flash a stock or custom recovery on your Galaxy Nexus without unlocking the bootloader, which is pretty sweet ;) :).

Lemme know if you have any other questions.

Cheers!

Thanks for the clarification Scary Alien. Will be downloading this app when my Nexus comes in next week. I'm just reading up on everything, so that the root process goes smoothly when it comes time to root my Nexus. Thanks again! :)
