Changes to DM so you can connect your phone through COM port. You can change your PRL while using CM7 w/o changing back to stock or Ct mod. Thanks go to the new optimus for sharing what he found and to the devs, hroark, shabby, interdpth, koush

Run with script manager.

run as root or SU, depending on your version.

Step 1. Press E to Enable

Step 2. Hit N to go back to menu or Y to exit

Step 3. Move on to cdma-workshop

Step 4. Press D to Disable

Step 5. Exit after or go back.

Attention: Some users cannot use it, cdma-workshop will not read from phone or send a password to unlock it, it will however connect and set a com port for your phone. I am not sure as to why it is only certain phones at the moment. I think it may have to do with newer vs older manufactured phones or mavrikmeercat suggested it varies based on COM port, so try out a few.

This should work on other phones besides the Prevail. It will work on any phone that has the "enable" file in the root dir of /sys/devices/virtual/usb_composite/diag
 
connects but when i hit read nothing happens goes thru all the bands but say's
"failed: phone not answer"

let look into it some more, i pulled it temporarily from the first post. I may need you to do some testing if ur up to it later or tomorrow.

I did have this trouble but it was not related to my phone or DM mode at all..
it was CDMA wkshp. for some reason it didn't like the port windows put it on.. idk why. but I had to switch ports around untill it worked and I had to run CDMA as administrator too

EDIT: and yes the default port windows put it on was below 9. It was COM port 2 but it still didn't want to work for some reason.
 
anyone who changes their prl is going to have to restart anyways. i know cdmaworkshop will do a mode reset if you exit out of the program before disconnecting so i didnt want to add it if people werent going to use it, ya knaw. either way it would take me like 2 minutes to add.
 
Hey Monster, you should submit this over in the CM forums man.. I'm sure tons of people could use this.

I'm not sure but I don't think even the official builds suppot hidden menu..

and also you should take donations;)
