which one do you have? the best are es file manager or root explorer(not free but worth it)
you need to find where you can chage permission from read only to read/write....it might be in the settings depending on which app you have.
never heard of it. in the menu for es.......there should be a file explorer option...you will need to choose that and the you should be able to select the r/w option as long as you are rooted.
sorry it is under the tools drop down menu.

wait what are you trying to do? the wifi tethering fix in the guide is not necessary any more and it states it so in the guide.

not sure, i maybe have used the wifi tethering app like once or twice....but i seem to remember not having any issues.
never really used anything that needed a password when i used it last.

You don't necessarily need to set that up. If it's giving you issues, I'd skip it.
Also open up the teather app and go under the settings:Change Device-Profile = Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
Check "WiFi driver reload"
Grant root access when prompted (this may take a while to come up)
See if that gets it going

not sure what you mean? what happens after a few hours?
I am getting erro messages it was working earlier but then shut off. I had to keep going back in re minting the files.. then it would work on for a little again. I need a stables connection. I remember 2 years ago before I went to iPhone. I was able to use tether no problem... It looks like some things changed I know sprint blocks hotspot.
i believe most of the roms out have either built in hotspot for aosp roms or the sprint hotspot hacked.
