do you have a card reader? If so take sd card out of phone place it into a card reader. Hook up card reader to windows computer. If Windows Pops up and Ask what you want to do then exit that window and click start>RUN
in the run dialog box type cmd. In the dos window type:

chkdsk x: /f /r
Note replace x with the actual drive letter of the sd card.

If windows fiinds any issues it will report them. Look for a line that says Bad sectors if the number to it is greater than 0 you have a failing disk.

If windows does not do anything (go to my computer and see if you can see the sd card in there) If not then right click my computer click manage and in mmc click on disk management Check for the sd card partition if it gives you unreconized then your card is probably corrupt. You will need a program like Test disk to try and restore the partition to recover any data however you should replace the card if this is the case

what if i dont have a card reader? i have one i just cant find it. i think its in my other car in storage. but is there any other way?

if the above suggestion does not work and you still have issue you can try to mount the card in recovery.

If using Amon RA boot into recovery and choose USB-MS and see if it shows up in your windows if it does then follow my original directions. However if it does not then do the second part of my directions which was to check disk manager in mmc.

If using Clockwork maybe someone who uses that recovery can help you. connect with the usb toggle

Do Not run a program like test disk for your sd card with it in the phone. To use testdisk you will require a card reader. (fairly cheap at wally world)
