Root sd mount read only

my sd card switches to read only when i open battery monitor widget. does anyone know why that is? or can recommend a better battery monitor app
 
your not getting any love here are you? I have no idea bud. It works fine for me. I would try an uninstall and a reinstall. Thats the widget i use.
 
weird stuff, oh well it was worth a shot lol. weird that didnt work. My next try would be to clear /cache and dalvik....im really just suggesting things that wont hurt and may help because i have no idea whatas actually going on and no one else was going to answer, maybe we can get some attention in here now!

i thought we had to build something for them to come.... am i confusing this with a kevin kostner movie? LoL but srsly, have you tries using a diff micro sd card to see if you can duplicate the issue? maybe its a stretch, but it could be a malfunctioning sd card. I just got a 16 gig card and it acted oddly when i first put it in my evo. You might be using the stock one, and thats fine, but it still may have been defective outta the gate, or has become that way from something or another... these are picky lil boogers sometimes :) hope that helps, at least it gives ya something to try until someone else suggests something lol
 
actually its an 8gb i had bought and had in my bb. i put it in here when i bought it since it was bigger then the stock one. ill have to try that out tho. i wanted to get a bigger one anyway lol

Your Evo didn't come with an 8gb card class 2 card?
 
maybe he needs to fix permissions for battery monitor widget???

could that cause that? its certainly easy, wont hurt, and may be worth a shot
 
hmm i dont know if you long press it in astro if it gives a permissions option? i asked about rom manager because you can just run a fix permissions log from there and it will fix all 187 or so apks you have lol. takes about 5 minutes to run itsefl but its a one click kinda thing

Edit: should have refreshed...it may or may not do anything thats why i wanted to know what the permissions said first. Like the widget didnt have write permission or something and so it was read only when it was being used....just shots in the dark here ive never heard of this issue.
