Accessories Seidio 1750 Follow Up

Its been a couple days after I received my replacement battery from Seidio. The first one was definitely defective. This one works great and I got 17 hrs the first full day of use after charging fully and moderate use. Much better!

Nice, I'm currently working on my replacement.

Mine got here today, and it's charged... starting my seidio voyage with a pic of the packaging:

For those of you who have left your phone unplugged for more than 7 hours with your 1750...

You must be a NON user compared to me :)

As you can see, time since unplugged, 11:32:04 with an uptime of 11:31:33 and an awake time 9:11:34 Doesn't get much heavier than that for me. Made it almost 40 hours after unplugging with light use Saturday and Sunday this weekend. I am thrilled with this battery. :D

And thats A2DP streaming cached Slacker to my Sony BT101 for most of the day. Only problem is after phone calls my screen stays on, I have to remember to take it out and shut the damn thing back off. So if anybody has any advice about that let me know ;)

At first it seemed like I was getting slightly better battery life, but the past few days have left me in the yellow region for the first time. Will have to do some more tests but so far I'm not instantly impressed (I was managing fine with my OEM battery)

I received mine yesterday, it seems the battery is pretty much the same size/weight as the HTC 1300mah. On it's first charge over 8hrs, I've already lost 14% with in 1.5hrs of just facebooking/surfing the net/idle :(

I got the Seidio more than a week ago, been through 8 cycle charge as recommended to see a gain in performance. So far, not that impress. That battery tends to get hotter than stock, it even rebooted my phone twice while using Navigator. (Never happened before stock battery). Most day, I can only get about 14-16hrs hrs up time with about 3-4hrs Awake time (it will be at about 10% by then) and we're not really talking about heavy usage, just regular MP3 player, online here and there, nothing running in the background, overall not really all that much better than stock. Maybe something is wrong with my Seidio? Anyway, for the price, I don't think it's all that worth it. I got myself a brand new TP2 battery for $15. Actually fits perfect. I couldn't really see the gap and with a hard shell case it really isn't an issue even if there's a small gap. So far, on first charge, I was able to stream about an hour worth of Shoutcast and still be at 80%, I know it won't be a monster compare to stock but for $15 and 200mAh more, pretty good deal IMHO.

First day on full charge with moderate use and I am at 17 hours with 40% remaining! That is a pretty impressive improvement over the stock battery.

During my time, I installed about 5 apps over the last weekend that were just "try 'em" ones.

I had a bad day where I had 20% left at the end of the day. I was like WTF? Is it this battery?

I uninstalled them all... next day after some use, I was at 80% at the end of the work day. It's been that solid for a week now!!!!

I even did a ton of calls today, txt, and gps to go pick up a new project car. Oh and a TON of picassa and facebook pic uploads....

I'm at 50% right now. That's VERY impressive!

Wanna let me know what those apps were? I have a feeling I have the same problem, but I can't seem to pinpoint what apps might be causing it.

Honestly, I can't remember. I may have just installed through marketplace instead of appbrain.... so I might not have a history... ugh.

On the first charge with almost constant texting and over an hour of Pandora and an hour of mytracker with everything on and sync every 10 min im at about 6 house and 65% battery left. This is a bit heavier than my normal use so im quite happy with it.

Whats mytracker?

I've had this battery for a few days, and yes, it has made a difference for me.

I'm also going to disable data when I'm near a computer (10-12hrs/day), so that should help my battery life immensely.

why not just plug it in when ur near a computer? What ive started to realize is that while it may be tough to get through a whole day with normal to heavy use, if you have even 15-20 min to plug it in it can go a long way.

I'm assuming that if you're near a computer u can plug it in for a short period of time in the middle of the day to give you the boost to get through the day.

I got my 1750 friday, had it charging in my phone while off from ~8pm fri till 9pm sat night. Been off since then, just used it for light web browsing/texting, and a phone call or two since then and right now, 17 hours later im at 55%.
I have just over 2:15 hours awake time in that time, so its obviously not heavy use, but considering its the first charge cycle It seems to be doing great so far.
Based on this use, I figure I'll get ~ 30 hours of light use, hopefully that improves in a couple of cycles.

So far not really impressed. I tend to find that once I take it off the charger the battery drops to like 92% before an hour is up. I don't know how accurate the battery widget is, though, but I haven't really seen a major improvement (if any at all).

I believe in only charging the phone when it's dead or close to dead. There's no point in charging when it's above 20-30%, since you can read in many places that's not good for the battery. Besides the Incredible is only my work phone, so I wouldn't really cared if it died. Less work calls to answer to! :D

That's not the battery, it's the phone. If you can remember when you get up in the morning, leave your phone plugged in but turn it off for about 20 minutes. You'll get more of a charge and won't see that drastic drop within the first hour.

That's not true with these batteries. They really don't like being run dead and it's actually ok for it if you charge when you can.
