Accessories Seidio redesigned the Active Limited Case

I purchased mine in blue this past Sunday and i received it today great looking case in blue/black nice protection.

Yeah that is definitely not normal. I have had mine for a week or 2 and is perfect. Seidioseidio, do you know if they will be selling the different covered backs separately at a cheaper price? I would love that as I could buy different colors and change em depending what mood im in :)

Did anyone get the WHITE CASE and if so can you post SEVERAL pics please? Also how is the white holding up, does or is it staining another color? Thanks in advance.

I ordered mine from Amazon on 7-10 and it (along with a car cradle from a different company) arrived on 7-17.

I LOVE it and have had no problems with it. I'm one of those who don't mind the battery being drained since I have 3 of them and I take the case off and on often and have had no problems doing so. (I'm getting fairly quick, heh)

I grabbed a black new design. There is a vendor or two on Amazon offereing it. I liked how the hard plastic wrapped more around the sides than the old design.

Amazon.com: Seidio Innocase Active for HTC EVO 4G, Black: Electronics

At least $5 cheaper than directly from Seido for those who want to save some $$

Thanks. I purchased mine in black for $19.99. $10 cheaper on the price, PLUS I didnt have to pay tax, only shipping. Since Seidio is based in texas and i live in texas. If i would have ordered it through Seidio, I would have paid $29.99 + 8.25% sales tax + $6 shipping. A difference of $18.40:D

Current price on the link above is @8.95 plus shipping.

I got mine on Seidio's site directly, got the combo in black for me, and the blue one for my wife case only, given our "cart" was more than $50, I was able to use a coupon code that I found on the net that saved me 10%, essentially the cost of shipping;

no tax to Connecticut...

I was anxious to get the new design Active, liked the concept better than the old one, the rugged and the Innocase 2 (based on my research on this forum) so i spent the extra $$ (cant wait for otterbox)...
Should arrive in a day or two, already shipped and we ordered on friday...(standard shipping)...

Buddy of mine ordered the Innocase 2 with clip combo, we'll be able to compare side by side...

edit: just realised (too late for me) that domestic shipping is free for all us orders on Seidio's site..i apparently paid for fedEx express saver...USPostal option is at the bottom of the pull down

I'd be all over the Seidio Rugged case if I could use the kickstand. Taking away a function or feature is a dealbreaker for me.

Rugged still beats it for best protection.its a much better case if your looking for safety for your baby. :)

in all seriousness..(note no cynical tone here) how is the skeleton of the rugged better than the wrap around rubberized plastic of the active.. in terms of protection...arent they essentially the same design except the active has the silicone next to the phone and the rugged has the innocase II next to the phone then the silicone then a skeleton?

also based on what i read here, the innocase II has caused some scratching, and loosens over time, so as the base layer of the rugged, is why i shied away from this model...

here's to hoping i made a good choice...want to protect my new investment

Two things I noticed immediately about the new design.
1- the hard case appears to cover the volume rocker. How is the volume rocker supposed to work?
2- they fixed the flat edge! I have been using the old version for about a week now and I HATE how this poor design causes my phone to rock when I use the kickstand. I love the way it looks, but the unstable wobble has me rarely using the kickstand compared to how much I used to before I picked up this case. /rant

So just from looking at it I gotta say that it seems to be a better product. Btw, can anyone tell me if there is any difference with the power button?

P.S. The rubberized coating is already peeling off three of the corners of my week-old case... I wonder if the new cases have better quality control?

I have the updated active case and the corners are starting to peel as well. I'm going to PM seidio and see what they say.

Using my active case and holster combo for a day now, my coworker has the innocase II and holster combo..

we side-by-sided them yesterday...

a) yes the innocase II is more stable with the kickstand, a bit rocky with the active..but i can deal

b) both fit snug and secure, he has had his for a week, no loosening yet, he hasnt ckecked for scratches yet

c) the hard shield on the active has a cutout for the volume rocker, it is nice to have the rubberized/silicone covers over the buttons...I find no difference in pushing thru the silicone vs naked..nicely designed.

d) my coworker finds it annoying getting his finger into the Innocase's power button cutout, everytime he needs to wake up his phone...makes the Active design better...(a caution for those with "non skinny" fingers)

e) the Active is too big for the innocase holster and the innocase "swims" in the active holster, be sure to order the correct holster, or just order it as the "combo"; neither will work in its respective holster "naked"

f) one more thing...if i am not careful when putting the active into the holster the silicone at the top will "peel back" if it gets "hooked" on the to spring clip at the top as i am putting it into the clip..it is mildly annoying, just have to get in the habit of getting my finger in between the silicone and the holster to get it in properly, not a "huge" dealbreaker for me, may be more of an annoyance for some, doesnt happen all the time

just some initial observations
hope this helps

Just received my black Seidio active case two days ago. I like it. I'll give it a 4/5. the only thing that bugs me is the hard corners do not fit flush against the inner silicone layer.

I've posted in another thread that I wasn't very pleased with the overall fit of this case.

I've had this case for over 3 weeks and sure enough, the corners on the outer hard shell are peeling, just as the other reviewer noted. I was going to keep the case, but I'm definitely returning it now.

I'm afraid everyone will experience the same outcome with the not-so-tight fit between the silicon and outer hard shell as well as the rubberized layer peeling off.

Unfortunately, Seidio quality is not where it should be with these evo cases.

Just got mine last week, but they shipped me the old one, booo, i still like it but assumed they'd ship me the redesigned case since it was back ordered for a few weeks.

Did you order this from Amazon.com? If you were shipped the wrong item you can always contact them and they will resolve the issue for you! If you ordered from us and were shipped the wrong item, please PM me and we can sort everything out!

well technically I ordered the old one, the day after I did (it wasn't in stock) the new one re-design was popping up everywhere, so I assumed the new versions were fulfilling older backorders so I made teh mistake of assuming that's what i was getting since it was backordered.
