Accessories Seidio redesigned the Active Limited Case

This is my sentiment... in regards to the kickstand being covered. I do like the new active case and if I had known there would be a change prior to ordering the Rugged, I think I would have ordered the new Active combo instead.

I am annoyed with Seidio's ordering policy and the multiple changed release dates. Maybe this isn't the place to chime off. I'm sorry if I've stepped on anyone's toes but, I I've been waiting for my case to arrive due to these changes... I am hoping the Rugged is as durable as my expectations.
 
The newer one looks sweet.

Three concerns...

1) how thin is it? I typically hate cases, but feel the need for protection, but want thin!! (the original amazon active LTD looked too thick - is this the same?)
2) more pics of the different colors on seidio's website, actually I am considering the white but can't tell how it looks from other angles.
3) $30

might stick with my $8 super thin, rubberized eBay snap on until other companies show what they've got (haven't we already seen people jump on a seidio product at launch, only to have disappointments later...?)

that issue has been solved.. + it was never an issue with their active cases
 
nice... just ordered it from seidio's website ... so much nicer then the first revision and the split case one (current one i have)
 
So for those who are wondering. I did get confirmation that the color part of the new design are hard rubberized plastic. So for example, (white) is the hard rubberized part of the phone. It's still 2 pieces.
 
I just received my seido case (super fast shipping) and have to say this thing is amazing!!! It does come in 2 pieces just like the previous active case design and the rubberized plastic back is what gives the color. It looks so great!!! I cant get over how nice looking and protected my EVO feels now.

I returned my platinum case from best buy and will never look back at that piece of poo. It was squeaking everywhere and was not a good fit at all. This one feels so solid its ridiculous! The only negative I can think of right now is that the power button is now a little harder to press but Ill probably get used to it. Heck I might buy another color to switch it up!
 
The redesigned case looks like the Active case made for the Incredible. Perhaps making them so similar makes them easier to make? Anyway (full disclosure), i have the incredible version, and it is a great case. I haven't seen the Evo's original, but I have a feeling people will like this one too.

I plan on doing the same
 
It has grip but not a lot. The feel is a smooth soft rubber but when placed on a surface it has a little friction.

how tight is the silicon around the front of the screen with the skeleton on? the active LE looked like it was loose where the skeleton wasn't.
 
Now that's a nice looking case! I think I have finallly made a decision. I was going to try and wait for an Otterbox but now...
 
I don't know if I want the first Active Case off Amazon.com or the updated Active Case off of Seido.com.

Why are there to many decisions to be made with phones?

I haven't held the case, but from the pictures it looks like the skeleton wraps around the sides of the screen down the entire length of the phone, so I think the silicon is going to end up being pretty tight.

As for the design, I absolutely love it. The original Active looked a little too rugged for me. The sides looked a little chunky, for lack of a better word. I love the sleeker look of this new case though. Just placed my order. :D
 
The silicon is very tight around the sides because of the exoskeleton but the top and bottom are a little flimsy because the hard plastic doesn't reach around. I don't know if that answers your question.

I just got the first Active Case in black. And this case kicks ass! It fits perfectly nice and tight. Good grips. And excellent protection. Well worth the money. I give it my vote as best case so far.

Only downside to it is the power button is hard to push. That's my only gripe. I'm sure the Active II is just as good.
 
I got the original and love it. Based on the pic, I'm not sure I would have as good of a grip on the new one. I just have one question tho...why does the old one as well as the new one have a cut-out for the battery release???

Edit: I just saw the picture of the Rugged Holster combo...that cut-out appears to be a mount point for a holster!
 
How much of a silicone lip does the front of the cover provide? From a review I saw on YouTube [although done on a demo model Evo] it looked as though the case was flush with the front, so that if you set the phone down face first on a table that the phone screen would touch the table. Is that the case? Also, does the front lip [can't think of a better way to describe it] actually curl in and cover the edge of the front of the phone, similar to the limed edition [like in these pictures]http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc...seidio-innocase-active-limited-edition.html]?
