Seidio Review Update2! New Revision - Rubberized Interior

I was planning on installing the back, stand, and side protectors from Bodyguardz b/c they can be put on with little risk of H2O indicator tripping. Anyone else do that and can confirm that it has no impact on the fit of the case?

When I owned my blackberry, there were several complaints about scratching. There response was always the same, it's very disappointing when its your phone that is scratched.

Not good news at all. I have the version from Bestbuy rebranded Pt, when I got the case fitment was perfect, but over the past 12 days it has started to get pretty loose around the corners and side by the volume buttons.
I just took the case off and luckily there were no scratches yet, but now I'm a little worried with how much the case has loosened up.

Keep us posted!

I also have the platinum version with the clip on holster. I actually am fine with mine until now. When I saw this thread again, I opened my case again and checked since the case was a little looser now than out was like you were experiencing. There was no scratches on the corners but on the sides right where the two cases meet, I see scratches. I checked the inside of the case and I saw scuff marks which would indicate they did cause the scratches. I was so disappointed because I love this case so much because of the holster. I guess I'll just have to settle for the extended protection from zagg and go get me a good leather case. Now maybe I can polish the scratches a little bit with some rubbing compound. I'm disappointed that an expensive case like this can be the cause of why we bought the case in the first place. :-/
Sent using my HTC Evo 4G.

Can anyone from Seidio comfirm rather or not the EVO Rugged case is going to come with the new ruggerized lined innocase instead of the old plastic one. I have that on preorder but will be canceling and/or returnig it if it comes with the old one.

This is total BS! I bought the case thinking it would protect my EVO and now I have scratches at all 4 corners.

Replacing the case is NOT ENOUGH!!!

I am very upset and think this is class action like!

Thoughts??

dunno... but i know for a fact that they will not replace your phone.

but if you were going to start a class action, i'm sure people on the forum will jump in and back you up...

HOLY CRAP they're not reimbursing for damaged phones! I'm not sure how you can prove it though

easy... put the case on a brand new EVO and walk around with it for a couple days. take it off and see if it scratches. if the case scratched your phone, it will scratch the new phone too. that can be easily proven. the only problem is getting the company to admit the problem. Seidio obviously isn't going to admit it. But they did say they will replace it, which in other words means that they somewhat admit to the problem, just not directly.

That sounds good in theory, but unfortunately without having a Seidio Rep or a reputable source follow you around each second it can still be considered lack of proof...I would contact BBB for starters

If you have the money.. I'd try it..

People get rich every day ;)

I already bought a white accent case from Sprint, for the meantime as I don't want to scratch my phone any further. It will surely protect my phone, the trouble lies in the accent case design of snapping in the phone at the front, with frequent battery changes, I'm sure it will defintely scratch the phone everytime you take the phone off the case.

I'll probably end up with the white gel case being sold at AMZER site. I just need a holster with the case as I don't really like carrying my phone on my pocket. Either way I'm really bummed out!

As for Seidio's customer support, I know they're top notched. Just too bad that the case was a big disappointment. As for purchasing from Seidio again, I know I'll be a repeat customer. I'm still waiting for the 3500 mAh extended battery, hope that will be a better experience for me.:)

I've dropped my phone twice. The Seidio case protected it from big damage. If it causes scratches, I'll be disappointed but not too much since it's doing it's job of stopping the big pain. That said, I'll probably do what I can to fix any detectable scratches and then cover it with a strip of Bodyguardz or some other protector before reinstalling.

With all products, especially things that are first to market it's "caveat emptor" so I accept that buying this or even the Evo itself is a risk I took. In my case it was worth it since the case cannot possibly do as much damage at two falls onto pavement would have.

I received my replacement case (ordered because the top half was loose).

The inside is now covered with the rubber-y outside material instead of just plain plastic.

Case was sent out as soon as I sent an e-mail and they send me one of the new ones. I've had the Innocase II on for about 3 weeks and dropped it once. I checked the inside upper corners and have very light scuff marks.

I'll keep an eye on those scuff marks and see if the new case turns them into some bigger scratches like the OPs.

For those of you who have had bad experiences with the Innocase II, especially loose fitting cases and scratches, I have a question and a theory.

I just received my case and holster a couple of days ago and am concerned that I might also get some scratches. I don't have the loose fit problem, at least not yet.

My question to those who are having problems is -- Are you using a holster or do you carry your Innocase in your pocket? I'm thinking (hoping) that the scratching might be a result of repeated minor case flexing as you go through your daily routines with the case in your pocket. Dust particles or pocket fuzz may be entering and acting like sandpaper as the case is pushed around in your pocket and the dust gets between the case and the EVO.

I like holsters, that's just me. But I'm thinking that the holster holds the case fairly rigidly and doesn't permit flexure of the case against the EVO.

So, I'd love to find that the problems are mainly with pocket carriers rather than holster users. How do all of you carry yours?

I carry it in both. no matter how you carry the phone, the gaps will lead to dust going in.

btw I got my case in

Update Seidio! New Revision of Innocase II

main.php

Okay, so I got the new revision of Innocase. Apparently there's 2 different revisions that I got. The first one is the black case. If you look @ the labels on each side, the old case has a shiny plastic texture. The new case has a rubberized texture. Both cases have felt in the same location. The newer revision with the rubberized interior is the case that you need to make sure your getting. This new case is tight fit, 100 percent (as of now). I don't know if the case will start squeeking because of plastic stretch/wear and tear after a few days.

Now the white one. Same thing as the black. New cases have rubberized texture, the old case has shiny texture. BUT!!! Look closely... The felt on the new white case covers a huge top portion where the NEW black revisions doesn't. Why couldn't they make it all standard that the felt lining will clover the top portion like the new white case in the picture above!:confused::confused:. The new white one also fits even tighter than the black one because of the additional felt. The rubberized coating does seem to give less stress when your sliding the case on and off.

Quality Control? Here: STAINS!

Now Quality Control!!!!
see those black spot! permanent paint stains. I tried to rub them and clean them, it won't come off. I'm afraid if i try harder I will scratch off the rubber coating all together. I'm sure seidio can do better than this. They should really check their paint on white cases.

Overall! Rubberized does feel much better when sliding the case on and off. I think it will do some protection as the fit is much tighter. Since my evo is already scratched up, i'm still very pissed about it. If it causes more scratches I will definitely report back. As of now, seems OKAY!...

Thank Seidio Rep - "Jack" for listening in. Hopefully their future cases will improve after this.

~if an addtional update is needed, I will definitely report back.

Mine spends most of the week in the holster...It's in my pocket about 1 day a week....when I'm not working.

Holster always - never in my pocket unless it's a suit or sportcoat where I know almost nothing has ever been in the pocket. Pockets always manage to collect dust, dirt, and other unknowns if you use them.

I just got my black replacement in because I had the old case which was loose.

MY NEW BLACK CASE has the same felt going over the top portion of the camera area just like your white case. I am so glad too!

this is weird... why can't they do this standard on all cases... wished my black did the same and my white didn't have black paint stains.

i just put my new case on and it ripped my SGP sheild off, lmao. luckily i got the case off fast enough, and did it alot slower and it worked, very tight now.

- I am very satisfied with the case and seido's customer service. top notch!

Crap is this why it's taking mine from amazon so long to ship? I hope it has the "fix" otherwise back it goes. C'mon otterbox....
