Root Sense Hero 2.1 ROM for ROOT Fully Working

Wipe data and clear any app2sd partitions.

Or

you could try wiping data and removing your sd card on first boot, if it boots you need to clear your app2sd patition.

i manage to get the custom rom setup..But it seems like the apps2sd is not working..I did set the ext2 size to 512 ,after which update it from ext2 to ext3..So far the apps are still install to the phone and not the sd card. Any help will be great thanks..

you need to run the apps2sd.zip file like you do when you flash a rom, it will take a while to boot first time as it transfers everything

anywhere i can get the apps2sd.zip file ? thanks i have to partition the sd card first before installing the custom rom right ?
 
hmm did all the steps and tested using the "Apps2SD check script" --> Apps2SD check script - VillainROM Wiki , the result i got was that i got apps2sd set up with dalvik-cache. But as i installed the apps into my phone , the size of my sdcard is not decreasing , whereas my internal phone size is decreasing...so i assume that apps2sd is not working..

i did partitioned the sd card correctly , 1) partition the sd , set swap at 32mb , set ext-2 at 512 the rest as FAT 2)upgrade from ext2-ext3

does the sense 2.1 custom rom support apps2sd ?

Neither your phone nor any windows pc is capable of telling you if the ext partition is being filed up so that's normal. How much is the internal storage going down by per app?
 
Im using Sense B4, I did a full wipe, flashed the ROM, did a titanium back up, the phone showed 74 mb free memory, I then flashed A2SD it took about 5-10 mins to boot afterwards, my phone memory then showed 134mb, You process seems aqccurate, if you dont mind the effort, do a full wipe, flash the rom, then flash the A2SD.zip then do your backup..
 
hey guys I am new to the community.

This may be a dumb question but, I plan on rooting my phone tonight.

Will this ROM work on the Telus HTC Hero (GSM). and will I have any problems because Telus uses an HSPA connection? is HSPA properly supported in most roms?
 
Everything designed for GSM phones will work fine on telus.

Just no Sprint/CDMA stuff as that will brick your phone.
 
Yeah, everything posted here will work; there is a separate forum for non-GSM Hero users.

(Not that you'd know it for all of them who post here)
 
I installed the B5 version and i love it, but i can not get te apps2sd working...
my sd is partitioned and everything, but the apps still go to system/app instead of system/sd/app.. ;-(
