Oh ok I thought mms wasnt sending... As far as long text thats kinda hit n miss.. Some roms have no issues some do...

Yea im with u on this one shabby I rarely send long text only time i send huge text is when im trying to see if it works or when Im throwing down with the wifey i specifically DL gosms for those great times lol :banghead:


Swiftkey flow is the best... Love how it guesses of what you normally text...
 
I dont use the swipe keyboard but i think ur talking about t9 trace feature in samsung keyboard? is that like swipe? I always thought t9 was something else. any how, if t9 trace is supposed to swipe like swype then yea, all im getting is blue lines everywhere and no letters.

I dont tend to send long messages....but when I do they go thru.

I have no gallery flickering at all.

I have no force closes, what so ever. Id try and redownload and reflash toke or you can start fom the begining and flash 103, then 105.

no mms fcs wha so ever. Id say do the same as above.

no overheating playing music, playing games, using camera, downloading, flashing or almost anytime really. Only time ive ever felt the phone get warm enough to notice it was when i overclocked and played a high grafix game and also when ive tethered.

and regarding laggyness, ive seen none of any consequence. I had lag with the stock ics touchwiz our phones came with, ive got much less now with 412. Keep in mind that apps and windows and widgets and lots of other things can lag you up. Also, please correct me if im wrong but i believe the kernal is stock and not "optimised" and i dont think shabby added any smoothness tweaking scripts and the like and dont know that he will.

A word of advice for anyone who comes across this. It doesn't work on the latest update of 1.0.5. If you want to stay with the 1.0.3, it works on that.
 
I dont wanna crap on any of you developers work...you do a lot of great work and I'm sure the makers/releasers of this are among them..so I thank you...just for me personally..I've tried this one out but didnt see anything special to it..it looked like the standard rom and I couldn't send mms..also after reading the known bugs..I'm just asking what are the benefits of this? I'm sure there are some and I just didn't see them.
 
I think that some like the stock look, feel, features that samsung gives you. I really like the stock camera for instance and the music player is great. If you have a samsung tv you can send pics and vids and music to it and theres samsungs version of beam wich does more than the standard android. Also its a newer version (for the time being) than whats available out of the box and with all of the improvements that go with that. All that and its being activly developed for, not by a team in some other forum but by actual metro users. I think those are just some benefits. To each their own.
 
I have a backup of Metropolis decided to restore after playing with cm10.1 and it does not restore at all I get nothing just a blank screen I decided to test my other backups of other roms and they restore just fine does anyone else has seen this?
 
Havent ever seen that. I dont know man. What u could do is install the same metro version u backed up. Then go to restore and just restore data. Then make a new backup
 
Well I will just wait I guess shabby said he will simplify the process and talked about 1.6 but I'm curious to why I couldn't restore :(

No one ever mentioned about the experience i had after reset wipe dalvik wipe 2 times each installed 001 then 005 repeated wipes and my phone was getting hotter and hotter anyone know why that is ?
 
Shab: I don't think you should feel pressure to release anymore updates bro. Just wait for the official release and then pimp that out. Everybody in here knows you've already done tons for this device!!
 
Screw that you keep releasing stuff Shabby you better :mad:.... LOL I agree with both if that makes sense... You've gone far an above what I think anybody expected and we all appreciate it... But on the other hand love to see the new stuff lol... Besides by the time official drops you'll have pretty much everything set and will be able to put together a bad ass rom..... :D

Lol. I too have some mods that I wouldn't mind seeing built into metropolis. But the engineeering build has too many quirks that is a major headache to track and fix. Too much work for something that will be replaced soon anyways.

I hear what ur saying and i agree. I think the release will be a better base. Thats not gonna stop me from messing with whats available. I find that i like to do it and do so when i can. I know that any theme or mod i make for one version ill have to redo when a new version is released. That dosnt stop me from making the theme in the first place. Doing it over helps me mod better. Im sure if he needs a break he'll take it.

Also, are we definately getting 412? EDIT I mean this seriously, anyone know?

Dont hold back the mods airtioteclint.
