Share how you use your screens

The two above are correct. I had LockBot Pro. I have since removed it, as I started having battery issues and was working to get them resolved.

Once I do, however, I'll be trying it out again to see if it'll behave. I like the Flan lock screen. It's nice to be able to put the phone in and out of silent from the lock screen.

Thats why i got the pro version :p

If you have Battery Indicator, or one of the other battery apps that show your battery percentage on the notification bar, you can see your battery % from the lock screen as long as you don't have full screen selected in your options.

Ill look into that. I have BatteryLife for my widget but never knew there were notification bar ones. And since im on Fresh 1.1, it shows that little android battery dude so idk how far down he is at all lol.

So is it called battery Indicator?

Yes, there are others as well that look different. I just happened to like the simple look of Battery Indicator (and it's free and doesn't seem to affect battery life).

A few pages back in this thread a few others are discussed.

Looks good and simple. Are there any that has certain colors or something? Doesnt fit my theme as much lol.

Battery Indicator Pro allows you to pick differen colors (Green and Red, I believe) for different battery levels.

Also, someone else recommended Battery Status app, which is green. I've never tried it, but might have to check it out. Looks a bit nicer.

Try this :)

That was pure genius!!! I don't know how you made that, but bravo! I myself google everything in the world...lol. If one of my friends or family asks me a question I don't know the answer to, I say..."let's Google it"! :D:D

What is the best way/app to grab screenshots of your phone? I know there is "shootme" and "picme"....but don't they need a remote veiwing device or something along those lines? Just wondering what everyone is using to get their great pics? Thanks for the advice!!

Once rooted, shootme is the way to go. Install it and run it. There are prompts that tell you how to operate it. Once you have taken a picture, it is stored on your SD Card. It is of course up to you then where you upload/host that picture.

Here's my latest with Gumbo Bare(glad to get rid of Sense) with 2.1 icons and Godzens taskbar. The clock/weather and toggle switches are beautiful widgets. I am still trying to find something I like better for the left screen but for now a couple rss feeds will do.

How do you do all these custom screens? How do you get the big Pandora icon? What switches are you using? I really want to use my Hero to the fullest and do my own custom screens I just have no idea how to. I have a brand new Sprint HTC hero with 1.5 firmware. Please help

boomhower, you using apps2SD? Just curious how your internal memory is so low.

Nope, no Apps2SD. It usually hovers around 45-50MB. The memory widgets and apps such as task killers never report internal memory correctly, something about the way Android manages it. This is a fresh flash(of Gumbo) I did this morning and I don't even have 1/5 of my apps installed. After I install all of those it will still be the same. What I use it for is once everything is up an running it is useful to see if an app is leaking memory when it jumps lower than usual all the sudden. My favorite about Gumbo other than the speed of the kernal is the aggressive memory management, it kills apps a lot quicker than the stock kernal. Since I have been using the Gumbo kernal(I used it with Freshrom for a few weeks before going with the Gumbo ROM) I have never had a need to use a task manager. I am not even going to bother installing one anymore.
