Shipping date speculation

I'm still waiting for my tracking number to show up in the UPS database, but I did find the calculate shipping time page on the UPS web site, and if I plug in Mountain View CA as the source and Delray Beach FL as the dest, I get Tuesday delivery for UPS 2nd day service (same result with either Friday or Saturday as the shipment date), so I'm thinking Tuesday may be a good guess
(and who knows, it may have shipped from somewhere closer to Delray than California).
 
Morning folks, those of us still here that are waiting for some movement, I'll let you know I have seen 0 change since I ordered. US ordered on 7/5. Good luck to all of us and lets continue to have fun while we await our new toy.
 
Ordered July 3, no tracking email yet. I'm on vacation all next week, so I've already accepted the fact that it will get here when it gets here.

Good luck to everyone! This reminds me of waiting for the XOOM to be released last January and February, except already knowing that the product is actually good!
 
Tracking number supplied still showing no data. I am thinking we are looking at Wednesday for delivery. Five days after I could have bought one in a store. Duly noted.

Google says 2-day shipping, so we obviously won't get it today, but it'll be moving today. Friday & Saturday, skip Sunday, then Monday. Besides, some people are reporting their estimated delivery times are Monday

Hang with me because clearly you don't understand the concept of distribution centers or a place being closed.

Here is how it goes. Warehouse emails UPS to pick up X number of packages. UPS says, "Cool." A UPS truck driver(s) rolls in on Friday afternoon, backs into the loading dock(or they may already have a couple UPS trailers staged that are loaded and he picks up the appropriate one) then he signs for the trailer after verifying the seal.

Driving the trailer back to the distribution center he checks in with dispatch they tell him what space to park the trailer. Due to the time that it takes it unload the normal amount of packages the shifts that are left do not have time to unload those trailers. And it sits in their yard until the early Monday morning shift comes in to sort. Once they begin sorting you wont receive a tracking update until your package is scanned on an outbound trailer.

It's been 12 years since I've thrown boxes at UPS but that was how they operated then.

Yup. Like I said, tracking number Friday night but no data on ups site means delivery Wednesday.

According to the description of 2nd day service on the UPS web site, Saturday processing happens for 2nd day packages, and their own delivery time calculator told me Tuesday (but I'll have more faith in that if the tracking number shows up in the database sometime today :-).

First shift Monday starts at about 2 am.
 
Got my tracking number late last night, ordered 6/27, still not showing anything for the tracking number though.
 
The one thing that really urks me about this release is that stores got it before us who preordered. I thought pre ordering meant we saved a place in line to get it first. My coworker pre ordered one last week at our local gamestop, that day he asked me when he might get it, I told him that probably the people who ordered first from Google will most likely get there's first and he'll get his a week or so after us. He comes to work yesterday throwing his nexus 7 in my face like a spoiled kid. Telling me how wrong I was. Yea... he's one of the biggest jerks at my work XD

But anyway, I know its only a few more days down the road till I get mine, just got my tracking order last night, but that's really annoying and probably the reason why they didn't start shipping ours until yesterday =/

Not exactly, but sort of. It has a full screen widget for the Play store right on the home screen so you see your books, movies, vids, etc.... right there. They are clearly encouraging you to buy stuff from their store. It's just a widget so you can easily trash it.

I got an email at 2:45 am that said my N7 has shipped from Google. Of course I already have the one I got from Sams. Google has not charged my card and I'm not sure how they could when I deleted my card from Google Wallet. Have they shipped me something without charging me? Extremely disorganized on their part.

I was kind of hoping google was sending them out all day friday but not sending the tracking emails until later, but if that was the case it would show something in the tracking history. I have ordered enough things from amazon now with 2 day shipping to know that if it didn't actually get sent out on friday it may not end up getting here until tuesday.

I just checked my records with that actually, and had a package ship saturday, and get here tuesday, so I guess anything is possible. Just waiting on UPS to put some info into tracking, otherwise its all guesses at this point.
 
Ordered 16 gb + cover on 6/28, 9:25 a.m.

No charge on accounts (and I have alerts set), nothing changed on Wallet, no gMail. I'm in the US.

It's going to be a long weekend.

FWIW a call this morning to UPS w/ my tracking number the CSR said is does NOT require a signature.

My package, although it still shows not having arrived at the UPS sorting facility is still " on schedule" for a Monday delivery.
 
Just got my tracking e-mail this morning, no charge yet. Ordered on July 5th.
I really hope everyone that ordered before me gets their e-mails soon, that's really frustrating and weird.
 
Update for the Brits in here.
Tried to cancel mine, and was told it was already shipped. Though how he knew when he didn't even take my order No??
I was told it was due for Monday delivery, but no tracking info yet, and no CC charged.
Not bothered about getting it first, just bothered about paying the extra that Google wallet ask to get something the same time as every one else who payed less. And still get the extra content that Google made out to be exclusive IMO.
Really terrible service from Google wallet
