Supervisor says they are going to put a "tracer" on my old package (which means, if they ever find it, it will be returned to sender) and send me a new one! Hopefully that actually happens and I get a new tracking number shortly
the supervisor lied to you dtemp...they told me they were going to put a tracer on mine and i would hear from them by today, so when i called them they had no documentation or anything about a tracer, there was nothing, they tried telling me that i never called on monday. this is a joke.
just like my tablet, yours never shipped, mine was ordered on the 28th of june and STILL hasn't shipped and i'm in Tennessee, not even out of country by all definition i should have been one of the first people to get one, yet every time i call to check up on it, they lie to me. they even tried telling me that my bank refused the transaction so i offered to conference the bank in when i was talking to the supervisor since i was good friends with the branch manager and then he turned around and started making up another story.
i ordered mine froday night, was shipped on monday, arrives in TN today and will be at my house tomorrow. so much easier then dealing with google
Yeah... I think I made a mistake today. I called back today saying I didn't get a tracking number yet for the new tablet they were shipping me. They said they had no record of a supervisor saying it was ok to mail me a new one, and he wouldn't have been able to mail me a new one anyway until I filled out a lost/stolen device form. They had me fill out a form which allows them to remotely brick the tablet that I should have gotten. I filled out the form immediately but someone is going to get back to me in a WEEK about shipping me a new tablet. I was calm on the phone but I'm not happy with this solution. I should have just had them cancel my order and refund me, and I'd be free to work on grabbing a tablet a different way.
The supervisor I spoke with today promises me it will be fixed this time. Well, Will B., you freaking better.
Just wanted to reply and let you know that I have been following your unique situation from afar since your first post about it. Continue to be strong and positive. That type of energy will help bring you what you want. Put positive out, get positive back. I live by this mantra.

Thought I'd post as my pre-order-from-hell situation is finally over. I don't have a tablet, but I do have my $308 back. A week after signing a form that allowed them to remotely brick a lost/stolen device, they were supposed to mail me a new one, but instead they just refunded my money and told me to put in another order. The refund was pending for a couple days on my CC, but now the refund is complete.
As for putting in a new order... I think I'll just pick one up at a B&M store I happened upon an Office Max and a couple Staples stores while out for work, and none of them had a 16GB. I figure in a few weeks I'll just be able to get one easily.
