I'm getting a bit irked that people who ordered after me after getting theirs tomorrow, and mine has yet to even be charged or even shipped yet.

I'm not just speaking for myself, I've seen people who ordered in very late June after Google IO that still haven't heard either.

I ordered July 4 in the morning after watching some reviews and convincing myself that it was a sweet deal. I have not heard a beep from Google yet after they confirmed my order had been placed. I called them in the morning they told me that they will be shipping all the pre-orders until Wednesday. So i would assume by Friday everybody should have them.

Have any Canadians got shipping confirmation emails or credit card charges yet? From what I have seen on the internet, no Canadians are getting any information on their orders.

I think my wife ordered hers on July 8th and she got the shipping notification that it should be arriving tomorrow.

Sorry to those who are in the dark/waiting...I contemplated not posting that, but couldn't help it.

Unfortunately, no, I haven't heard of anything yet and have been bouncing around all the threads here.

Congrats ylexot, yes, I'm one of those still in the dark.

Nope, but I did post earlier that in Google play my order went from pending to complete and is above my app downloads...

I ordered N7 + case on the 28th.

Still no email today, but I picked up one at Sams Club on Saturday.

Sent cancellation to Google this morning. I suspect they'll say I have to refuse the order. Even if I have to pay shipping, it'll be easier than trying to peddle it off on someone at work.

My order has been "complete" for well over a week now. I don't think that really means anything.
Mine has been complete since I first clicked it I think, but the Nexus is now at th e top of the 'My Orders' list in Google Play and the money is pending in my bank account. No email yet though, and no change in my Wallet.

Happy Monday y'all!

Just caught up with this thread. Glad we didn't get locked. Thanks be to those who let cooler heads prevail in the face of ambiguity and frustration. :D

I was a late addition to the Galaxy Nexus Mega Best of All Time Thread and just know this y'all... no device has seen the level of anxiety and ambiguity that the Mega Thread endured.

To those waiting for confirmation, know it will come. To those upset at Google, that is fine. To those who have gotten confirmation, be kind.

Thank you.

Happy note through which you may live vicariously: Received confirmation that I get it by July 17 , 2012, end of day!

I talked to a Customer Service Rep. after being on hold for more than half an hour. He told me that my specific order should be charged tonight, and I'll be getting a tracking number tomorrow.

Ordered: Nexus 7 8 GB
Accessories: None
Date: June 27th, 10:52 pm
Location: London, Ontario

It may be coming from asus, through the KY UPS distribution center. But that's all just a random guess.

Still odd since Asus HQ is CA also. Perhaps manufacturing plant elsewhere, or international?

Many times with big companies, the warehouses full of product are no where close to the brains that designed them.

Hardware and software engineers, and prime sales folk, like to live in the city or suburbs, near a cultural center. They have climate requirements. Their employer has different obligations (healthcare etc) to them depending on the state they are working in (and the biggest expense for most companies is personnel).

Warehouses full of products have different requirements. They want to be near transportation hubs. Ideally, a big ass boat full of product could pull up near it. They should be close to distribution centers of the three delivery services that matter: USPS, FedEx and UPS. The land they are on should be dirt cheap. Ideally the utilities and taxes are dirt cheap too.

So I wouldn't be surprised if Asus USA HQ is in CA and their blue collar warehouse product guys are in the Southeast or heartland.

So I got home from work tonight and I'm out walking the dog in the woods behind my house when lo and behold a UPS truck ulls in the yard. Driver hops out of the truck with an appropriately sized box for my two N7s so I drag the dog mid-pee out of the woods to greet him and accept the package.

Turns out it was something my wife ordered in my name. Damn her, now she is teasing me too.

Sorry, but the wife's got to go... :D

You know it, she knows it.... it's just a matter of time.
