Root Sholes 2.0.5 is out!

anyone having problems with the screen dimming after using SM 2.0.5? my keyboard light isn't coming on either.
I was having the same issue. Look for Bright Control in your programs. Open then menu key to preferences. Uncheck the Retain Settings and that oughta do it.

All is working fine for me, no issues at all, temp sticks around 33-40c, I'm working with 1.1 ghz today, I went up to 1.2 ghz for awhile, but I think I will test the 1.1 all day and check the 1.2 tomorrow. Great App Donate to help the Dev continue to put out Kick Azz Apps like this...

Just switched over from adamz smoked glass rom and all I have to say is WOW! Sholes has really got something good here.

Is anyone missing their e-mail app? Maybe I unchecked during install. Do I run SMupdater again?

Yea you should be able to just reflash the ROM using SMupdater and just make sure you uncheck the Email app when it asks you what apps you want to delete.

i cant see cpu temp cause i dont have the kernal to do so..but when it comes to battery whats the max it should be thats safe because i use my phone alot when its charging thats when it tends to get hot and go up

like last night i think the highest it reached while using it charging was 44c

In order to flash 2.0.5 over 2.0.3, what is the best way to do this? Will it automatically write over/ delete 2.0.3 data? or do I need to somehow unflash 2.0.3?

Thanks issue resolved. I was probably one of the few that had no issues with the N1 rom but then again I only had it for two days. I finally had it set up the way I wanted it. The only thing I really miss is the screen switcher though.

I love 2.0.3, soooooo... if by tiny chance this update gives me problems that I can't soon fix, is it just a simple matter clicking the selector to re-flash to get back 2.0.3?

It forces you to make a nandroid backup before it flashes the new one anyways, so you can just restore that.

Hey I'm Brian new android user came from the storm is anyone running 2.1 on the Motorola Droid and if so how does it work and where can I get it I talked to Verizon and they said they pushed it back

OKay, if you've got 2.0.5 go to settings, then accounts and sync. My phone restarts every time.

Also, do we still need Setcpu for the speeds or is there something built into Sholes for that? If so, where do I find it?

thanks for your help guys! I've flashed 2.0.5 right over 2.0.3 with brilliant succes, i agree that it is considerable more snappier. Also chose the smoked glass theme which is nice- BUT I somehow managed to get that old arc swipe lock screen. Anyone know what option I did to allow this?

There were issues of the reboot posted on the Bugless threads.. many came to the conclusion that it was because the facebook app was missing and the phone rebooted because it was trying to find a FB account linked to the phone.

Yes, you still need to download SetCPU. The ROM supports overclocking, but you still need the utility in order to do so.

You checked the 2.0 lockscreen with vibration option.

Good Call! Mine too...

Had to set up some of my widgets again - Beautiful Home, Pure Calendar, Weatherbug, Pandora, Music, Battery, MotoLED but otherwise running well so far at 1Ghz. As another user reported, the clock speed options in SetCPU move in 100 Mhz increments and the profiles limit the bottom range at 250 Mhz. Very snappy so far.

What is MotoLED?
