Should I buy this phone? would you buy it again?

i have an incredible and a DX for work. No GPS issues at all.
the lag, yea it is there for me even if you swap out launchers (not as bad on launcher pro vs stock). if i didn't have an incredible honestly i probably wouldn't notice the lag, but having had an incredible since its launched i noticed it immediatly (it isn't bad even though i made it sound that way, it isn't intrusive or annoying just something you noticed every now and again, it isn't going on all the time).

would i get a DX again,,, probably not. the hardware is awsome and just the feel and finish in the materials of phone are great it feels so solid, i don't like the hardware buttons but they are not done badly or anything just not my cup of tea i like touch sensative ones. truth be known what annoys me is motorola having the menu button all the way left instead of "home". the screen size is fantastic but the LCD just doesn't do it for me, again personal preference of loving AMOLED screens and the colors they produce.
one thing i love though is the battery, i have been VERY impressed with the battery considering the size of the screen.
As other people said the reception is top notch.

The main reason i wouldn't get it again,,, motorola software. if you have ever lived with an HTC phone with sense you notice the lack of polish and function of motorla real fast. and their corporate exchange support is horrid how that made it past quality control boggles the mind. you will end up downloading apps to replace nearly everything on the phone (sometimes not a bad thing) but it is still annoying that you are searching for apps to replace things just done badly on the phone by motorola. the camera is pretty good too.

I had an Incredible and cracked the screen. I switched to the X and am happy with it. I think Sense ads a lot of cool stuff to the experience, but the larger screen has won me over.

I rooted and went to 2.2 with Launcher Pro, removed the bloatware and have not had any lag issues since.

Have you used launcherpro? Does ADW lag as much as launcherpro? I like the added customization with launcherpro but it just lags so much. I'm hoping to find a better launcher or i'll go back to stock.

ADW feels faster to me. But with either one you can play with the settings to improve performance. LP used to restart itself alot when I tried it. Leaving me with a blank homescreen which I hate. ADW themes are just awesome! And it has a hidden dock that let you add endless apps to it. I have about 30 games that I keep in the hidden dock. Love it! Try ADW and play with the settings. Give it a week to get it just right.

I have both the Dinc and the DX. At first i was in love with my Dinc but once i fooled around with the DX i fell in love with the screen. It also has a lot better battery life than the Dinc. Not to mention it superior multimedia capabilities. They are both good phones but i think the DX has thw upper hand over the Dinc.

I went from DInc to DX and couldn't be happier. The size difference is negligible (see the pic of my old DInc sitting on top of the DX) and most of the features are comparable. The DX is a bit slower, but not as slow as most smartphones - the DInc is just really smooth and fast for some reason. It doesn't bother me. The noise cancelling tech, though, is the real seller for the DX though. I have a thread on it here if you wanna see what people have experienced with that.

I've had the X for a little over a month now and all is good. I love the phone and highly recommend it to anyone who asks. I am running 2.1 un-rooted with LauncherPro and it is awesome.

The one issue that still kind of irks me, is the Wifi Wireless N connection issue. Doesn't seem to work properly. It freezes up (the wifi not the phone) after about 30 minutes, sometimes sooner. I just switched my router to b/g and now I'm gravy.

But yeah, BEST PHONE I'VE EVER OWNED.

I haven't had any problems at all with my wireless N network

I've read that some routers work well with our phones and that others do not. Did you ever have any N issues? Some people suggest certain settings on your router, I haven't tried though.

My girlfriend wants my Droid incredible and I'm okay with that. I can go buy another or I can grab an X.

Do you recommend this phone? does it have GPS issues? Can it use google maps with Voice Navigation and lock onto your location?

And is as laggy as I've read?

Lastly has anyone jumped from the Incredible to the X?

Thank you.

I've experienced lag and unresponsiveness with the first X I purchased on launch day. Upon receiving the replacement all the problem were addressed including the crackling noise from the speaker.

The extra real estate is priceless.

There is no other phone on the market that I would own. Wouldn't give up my X for nothing, not even an Iphone and some cash for boot. The X is that good! :)

There are very few Android phones I would trade for an iPhone, and none of the ones Verizon sells. and I was a huge iPhone fan before I got my Droid last November.

Worst case, you have tried an incredible, get the X. you have 30 days to trade it in if you really don't like it, but you will be keeping the X for sure.

heck yeah i would buy it again....i SMASHED my screen las night and had i not had the insurance, i was ready to pay the full $600 for a new 1....

I would without a doubt buy a DX all over again. Love the battery life, the screen size, the build quality, and the latest OMAP3630 processor.

This is my favorite phone ever, and yes I would buy it again, but if you haven't bought one yet, hold out. I'm hearing Verizon has another beast on the way VERY soon.

Returned the Incredible for the DX. Love it. No problems. Gps is great. I use LPP. Love that too.

I saw the Fascinate in the store today. The screen is very, very nice, but the software issues (bing) would keep me from wanting it. I'm happy with it. :)

I have had my droid x for a couple days now and like it alot. I am new to these phones, so as of now I really miss the simplicity of the iphone. I am really hoping this phone will grow on me. I would most likely buy another.
