Thank u so much for everything. Would post the thanks on AC but I'm banned from the forum. Thanks to rom keeper I don't have to rely on tapatalk to view hidden links ;-)

[EDIT] if blank screen remember to press menu button on your phone and refresh the app. If it persists or if your rom list isn't updating then clear rom keepers cache and data then open and refresh the app again.

Roms tracked (so far)

Quattrimus (all flavors)
Mirage
Magpie

Also I've found with rom keeper u may need to clear the apps cache and data if u get just a black screen also make sure u refresh it

Tdm designed and released it himself. It is in ac and I have not looked much into it but it's supposed to be able to download, update, and install any rom in app along with other things. It is still in public testing phase.

Okay folks, here goes nothing.

RomKeeper preview release is up here: RomKeeper-debug.apk.

What works:

* Download ROM manifest and populate a ROM database.
* Keeps a manifest cache to detect when updates happen.
* Checks for updates in the background, and notifies when available.
* Downloads full ROMs directly.
* Launches a browser for mediafire links to full ROMs and uses the results.
* Applies ROM patches directly without saving to sdcard.
* Launches a browser for mediafire links to patches and uses the results.
* All ROM downloads and patches are verified by file size and digest (md5sum).

What does not work:

* Install launcher probably doesn't work, I wouldn't recommend it.
* ROM verify status is not kept in sync very well.
* UI is pretty bare and ugly.

Note the manifest is fetched from an URL formed by a base plus the device model. The base URL is "http://vmroms.com/~vmstorage/romkeeper" and the model for quattrimus is LG-VM670. The result is "http://vmroms.com/~vmstorage/romkeeper/LG-VM670/manifest.xml", which you should be able to view in your browser if you're so inclined. I hope the IHO roms have this same model but I haven't checked. If not, it will not find the manifest.

The initial manifest contains the latest quattrimus alpha10 release with all three variants. The AOKP ROM has links to both the full download and a patch against AOSP. This means that if you have the AOSP ROM present, it will stream the patch directly to create the AOKP ROM. The patch is roughly half the size of the full ROM.

So, all you adventurous types can download the app, install it, and give it a whirl. Let me know how it works (if it works) and what you think.

Once this passes an initial smoke test with a few users, I'll start a new thread for it and start soliciting the IHO devs for including their ROMs. Initial testing indicate that IHO deltas should be in the 10mb range, which is roughly 1/6 of the typical IHO ROM size.

Thanks ben lol posting links to AC forums is something id like to avoid. While at the same time trying to thank the devs.

ROM Manager does more harm than good. Especially the OVs with the Hitachi screens.

If you already installed a working recovery for your phone that is CWM you could press (in ROM Manager) menu key>manual flash override>select optimus v (it wont flash anything)>select 3.x

ROM Manager should work fine after doing that, just don't use it to flash a recovery for your phone, unless JerryScript puts his recovery in it to be flashed via ROM Manager (since it works with both screens)

Read the truth about rom manager in the atr guide. Rom manager is a bad word around here. It also flashes bad builds and has unsolicited versions of developers roms such as backside and. Bobz

We don't have those unsolicited versions, but I forgot about it not wiping everything like /boot /system.....

But I've never had problems when I used to skip that...then again all I flashed was different ROMs that all use the same boot.img :p

The latest pre-beta quattrimus rom and the nightly both worked like a charm. I will add that I had to again clear RK's cache and data again to get it to refresh the updated list. :D
