Show us your Desire Homescreens...

Thanks to some help on this thread I've managed to customise a couple of my homescreens so far :

Only had my phone for a few weeks so I didn't know which was the best one. I tried Advanced TaskKiller but went for this one because it showed the services that were running as well as just the apps. I presume you can do it on Advanced TaskKiller but I didn't think it made much difference which one I went for.

Should I avoid this one ? Is there a better one to use ?

You don't need/shouldn't have one at all IMO.

the best task killer is the android OS itself. it monitors app use and turns apps on/off or puts them to the background as needed.

a dedicated task killer always needs to run in the background to monitor the other apps and will, therefore, always be using power itself.

and it may also kill apps that you don't want to be killed causing all sorts of problems.

the only good task killer is a dead one.

I installed a task killer and used it for the first few weeks of having my desire. Then I read on here about how useless they are and uninstalled. Haven't looked back since :) I was habitually shutting down apps after using them which was pointless, and sometimes even detrimental to the smooth operation of my phone.

So I've been playing with LauncherPro and decided to go for an ultra minimal look for the time being. I really wish I could save this theme as I now want to try something else but I dont want to lose this one :(

If you're using any launcher other than HTC Sense, you cant use the inbuilt HTC widgets. Shame really, as the photo viewer widget from HTC is my favourite type of viewer.

HTC wont let you use their widgets with another launcher.

It's like going into Burger King, and eating a Big Mac.

So far the only known way around it is to be Chuck Norris.

I have gone and changed yet again, so here is my latest offering. Battery notification in top bar is a custom theme from UOT Kitchen, Custom Uni-colour icons. The Kitchen can be found here, UOT Kitchen YOU MUST BE ROOTED TO USE THE KITCHEN

So...been feeling creative, and came up with this self designed comic book style theme.
Here's the rough draft...gonna tweak the icons and layout a bit.

The WP is from the Inception Prequel Comic
All Icons are my doing...yay PhotoShop!

Each bit of text on the screen opens a program...
Check it out...and if you have any questions, or want some pointers on your own design I'd be glad to help!!

Goin for Ironman theme here, wallpaper and dock came from MISHACK from LPP website

ironman.png

Dock left - right
1. Press for Phone, swipe for Phone Contacts
2. Media. Press for Camera/Photos, swipe for Winamp app
3. Apps
4. Press for Messages, swipe for Folder Organiser link to Gmail and Hotmail accounts
5. Press for Web Bookmarks, swipe for Folder Organiser link to different live footy scores websites

Dock icons are Smoothstar white by Lekky (hope you don’t mind!)

Apps is Ironmans head with a blank png placed in the dock via LPP

Pressing Ironmans heart(white bit) opens up my Wireless & Networks settings menu. Done by LPP again with blank png as image and then icon labels hidden in preferences of LPP. Below is the where the shortcut is before hiding the label to take it to the screenshot above.

Kinda liking the hidden stuff and gonna put some more shortcuts in later

Edit.. have just switched Tajm and Battstatt around to match the grey writing on the wallpaper. Power source status now matches with battstatt and Internal Chronometer is now my Tajm clock
