Its an app called my allowance! It's in the market but only beneficial if your on Vodafone or o2 as its an actual amount of your usage, it updates every day but as I'm on Vodafone its accurate to within 72 hours.
Madhatter, they are just toggle widgets in the market.

Okay thanks. Found an app called Phone Usage which looks similar to My Allowance and it is free.

I use Giffgaff which runs on the o2 network so it might work already. No need to contact the dev on my account though.

Has anyone on here used both go launcher ex and adw launcher ex? And which one do you think is better?

I use DroidStats for calls and texts which works fine. You probably know about 3g Watchdog for data usage.

To be honest I don't need anything to tell me how much data I have used as I don't go anywhere near my limit.

I would say that Go Launcher EX is the better of the two...ADW doesn't seem to get updated much or at all these days whereas GO usually has either fixes or new things every other week as well as its other widgets and integrations that the GO team work on as well.
I did like the no dock option with ADW which not only removed the dock but allowed you to actually use that area for widgets, so you could have a FULL top to bottom screen of widgets and icons....but then I did find at times that ADW seemed to be more memory hungry than GO and that GO just worked that much faster..
though that could just be me....oh and the best thing here to help you choose....GO is completely free (except some themes for it, but there are loads of free ones) where as ADW Launcher EX you have to pay for...there is a free version of ADW but its limited in part to what it can do..
watchdog for the win...been using it since last year and its so easily saved my bacon a number of times with limits lol

and yea, I no longer go near my limits thanks to having broadband at home and wifi
barely even use 30mb a month no on the phone since had that installed...beforehand I was using the phone as my net connection on my then laptop (now netbook) and so was going almost to my 1GB limit a month..

I remember reading a post here that questioned how the Go team can make money when they give everything away for free. His theory was that the Chinese government want to get a hold of our private data through these free apps.I have to ask...but...how do they think that? lol crazy blighters they are

- I'm with Three!Yeah, I've used droidstats for a while but it just looks a bit ugly (unless someone can tell me the paid version is customisable) but also the last time I used it, it kept flagging up that I was near my usage limits when I have hundreds of calls/texts left!?!?!?

they may give the main apps for free, but they have countless themes on there that are X amount...besides I reckon the GO dev team probably aren't doing this as main income but as a sideline to other things like most of the devs on the market...
silly conspiracy theories.....that reminds me....I must search out my tin foil hat and spatula to fend of the government for reading my thoughts again..now I'm of to get some chickenfishes...

well just changed wallpaper as well as ditched the facebook link and camera shortcut...mainly because I dug a lil deeper in the CM settings in GV and found I can link applications to the physical buttons...so for the win I now have camera linked to long press on search key and facebook on long press menu key....win!
oh and if any flogging molly fans notice that it was playing on my poweramp there...I'm seeing them play live on my birthday next month...stoked

I asked the dev and he said that most that piggyback on anothers network tend to have there own billing system and servers so its difficult for him to get access. Sorry dude.
