Use the Telegraph website to add the fixture dates to your google calender, your phone should then automatically sync and update the new data.

It is basically an alternative to the Sense UI that came with your Desire,it brings a different look and different functionality that a lot of people prefer.

The only problem with it is you can not use the HTC widgets that came with your phone,thats why i have stuck with sense.

Also launcher pro is not the only alternative UI available,there is also Home++,openhome,adw launcher and pandahome to name but a few.

Any decent editing software will allow you to make your own versions of them in whatever colours you like. It's only a couple of bits of text on a blank background. Maybe download GIMP and give it a go?

I simply must have this wallpaper/theme!!
I love this Android mascot logo thing with all those colors swirling around it!! I would totally appreciate it if someone could provide a link to get this image in high quality to use as my wallpaper for my Desire.

Hey dude - can you please give me a link to a site which has an high quality image of the background you have in these shots? I would like to use it for my lock screen on my Desire. Thanks!!
 
can anyone please point me in the direction of some widgets i'm after..

1) a battery widget which tells me how much approx time left before i need to charge again
2) a widget which is similar to 3g watchdog and shows my remaining texts/minutes.

would be appreciated :)

Battery Left is a good battery widget which shows your remaining time and other information.

ps. also when i click the telegraph link for the footy fixtures, it makes a new calendar called Manchester United and i have no idea how to incoporate these in to my google calender..yes i am a noob *blushes*

I Can't get this to work. The fixtures appear in my google calender online great but i can't get them to appear on my phone after syncing.

Help anyone?

you need to select it as a calendar. I think in the sense calendar press menu and calendars, then select visibility on the other calendars

Strange, try re booting.

Or open up Calender on your phone, click menu, click more, click Calendars - what do you have checked? I have 4 calenders ticked

so i can have one theme with sense ui and another with launcher pro??
Or if i download LP is that then my only option??
Is there any main benefits and is the general consensus on here to upgrade to LP?

When I go into calender and press menu > more > calenders ... the Liverpool calender does not appear there to select like all my other calenders...

Hmmm...
