Help Sirius/XM not working!?

I noticed after updating my radios that My Tracks was really slow downloading maps when I used it. After about an hour of searching for this thread (I forgot what it was called and couldn't figure out what to search for to find it) I got my MSL with the app from the market and applied this fix. I opened My Tracks and it instantly downloaded all of the map.

It would seem that more apps than mentioned in this thread so far can benefit from this...

I'm posting in this so I can find it easier next time. :p

I downloaded the app today after calling sirius to add the service. Connected after a 30 second update. Runs perfectly. Rooted running myns two point two with sbc v5 kernel.

I noticed that the crackle movie app hasn't been working on 3g, can someone try the app with the fix and see if it works?

Hey, I'm just curious if someone can tell me - before you apply these steps - are these your settings?

http pd proxy port = 8085
http pd proxy address = pd.vog.sprintpcs.com

Thanks - I'm just curious.

I'm fixing mine now and that is what it reads.

As someone mentioned earlier, there is an app in the market that will give you your MSL. I had to reboot to get it to work, but it was quick and painless. No need to call Sprint.

What is the name of the app?

1) Dial ##3282#
2) Choose Edit Mode
3) Enter MSL
4) Choose Advanced
5) Change HTTP PD Proxy Port to: 0
6) Change HTTP PD Proxy Address to: 0.0.0.0

I don't have the Sirius app but this did work for the xiialive and winamp apps that would work fine using wifi but 3G and 4G would buffer and drop the connection after the 3.70 update.

Thanks very much. This was really irritating me. Works great for Sirius/XM

I got my MSL code from Sprint and changed the proxy port and address as listed. I am still unable to listen to sirius when using 3g. I have hardware version 002. Anyone else seeing this. It seems the proxy updates fix it for everyone else. No luck for me. I have confirmed my settings and rebooted phone a few times.

Try restarting your phone, also try un-installing and re-installing the app.

Great! This works. Will there be any issues moving forward for changing the Proxy Port and address? Should I have written down what they were before I changed?

recently noticed when trying to get on sirius app on my htc evo at the gym that it just loads and loads never getting on the station , but when i got home on my wifi it works, also i have the same problem on another app, somewhere i read that its from the last upgrade and it makes sense because i had no problem before, anybody have the same problem and any info on a fix for it?? thanks, demetri

Through twitter I just got the streaming fixed from sprint. Call them ( i did it over twitter) and mention the issue you are having. Mention the fix listed in their system below

CE Device portal listed as 'HTC EVO 4G (A9292) - Streaming multimedia applications receiving errors on software version 3.70.651.1'

They do something, and without rebooting my phone, or any changes on my part sirius xm now works.

I hope this helps.

^WOOT!

While you're in the neighborhood - would you mind doing:

##DATA# (aka ##3282#)
View Mode
Advanced

And telling us if your last two setting are:
8085 or 0
pd.vog.sprintpcs.com or 0.0.0.0

The view mode is totally harmless - just wanting to calibrate if they're doing over their network somehow what others are doing here, or if there's other magic they're performing.

Thanks again in advance!

They are set to zeros. So the fix indicated in this thread Sprint does automatically on their end. I imagine over the air programming.
