Help Sirius/XM not working!?

I tried this on Warm 2.2 (not Warm Z) and streaming still doesn't work, and even further, when I try to go back in to check the settings, as soon as I hit "Advanced" I get force closes. Not sure what the the problem is.

I just flashed Virus Infection and I was able to do it, and streaming works fine. Weird.

the EPST menu on Z is jacked for some reason (gsm port) It worked on the my touch port that virus did but myn's z it just doesn't recognize the menu right. . I haven't found a fix

Infection rocks...you using rc1 or 2?

I don't have the Sirius app but this did work for the xiialive and winamp apps that would work fine using wifi but 3G and 4G would buffer and drop the connection after the 3.70 update.
Would someone that made this change please check their RTSP Proxy Address and let me know what it is? I inadvertently changed that instead of HTTP Proxy Address.

Thanks,
Brad

Here you go:

http pd proxy port = 8085
http pd proxy address = pd.vog.sprintpcs.com

RTSP Proxy Port = 554
RTSP Proxy Address = rtsp.vog.sprintpcs.com

That said, zeroing out both the HTTP and RTSP proxies is beneficial and not harmful.

I called and got my MSL number but when I entered it, my Evo said Check password error. Now what do I do?

Hmmm... I would call them back and double check to make sure they gave you the right number. Mine went with no issues.

Finally got it to work! Had to call Sprint again, but they figured it out and fixed it, and I am streaming Sirius now! Thank you for your help!

Hey guys, Im wondering if anyone else has been having problems connecting via 3G to the Sirius XM app for the EVO -AFTER the proxy update? I changed the proxy a month ago and everything worked great until today. Now I'm stuck with the "unable to acquire network connection" message again. I tried changing the rtsp proxy as well and it still didn't work. I've updated my profile on the phone, rebooted, yanked the battery out etc... I can still connect through wi-fi.

Forgot to mention...my wife has an EVO as well. I called and got her msl/ and changed her proxy today...same problem, wont connect.

edit-Pandora works (takes a very long time to load though). Just checked another thread about the prl update. My phone has the 60676 update. not sure if the new update screwed up Sirius XM streaming or not.

it is possible that they incorporated a fix with the prl update but unlikely. Have you tried replacing the proxy settings and trying again.

Have youa lso tried from a different area...it's also likely you might be experiencing a 3g outage at your location.

Reset everything back to the way it was before the "fix"; changed it back to the "fix' Still doesnt work . Tried it from a different part of town/different tower still doesn't work. There are a couple of the same complaints on the Android Marketplace app reviews about the same thing happening to other EVO's over the past 2 days. Frustrating...

I found out today that I can connect via 4G but no 3G. Whats funny is that I live in Knoxville TN and we don't have 4G yet. I turned the 4G widget on today just for sh*ts and giggles and actually found a signal. Tried using the Sirius XM app and it worked like a charm. I'm guessing Sprint is testing 4G in my market? I drove a few miles away and the 4G signal was poor but still available. Weird...

in between 2 and 3 it asked me for a password something not shown, anybody have some help??????
Thanks
Paul

Yes, it's asking for your MSL number. You'll have to call sprint tech support and ask them for your MSL number and then enter that as the password.

This is also happening to me now. I did the fix when I spoke with Sprint support a few weeks ago and the sirius app worked, but now it's constantly dropping, about every 30 seconds or so, and getting the 'data connection lost' message. SO frustrating.

Sirius Left no longer available??? Had it at 8am this morning, changed channel to listen to something else, then when tried to go back at 9am, it was gone!!! Missing on yours too?

Checked the channel line-up online, and it's still showing there as available for regular Sirius service -- just missing from app now? Why!!!!

Closed and reopened app to see if maybe it was just a glitch -- still gone. With that same thought in mind, turned phone off then back on -- still gone.

If anyone knows anything about this, please share. :o

This worked perfectly!! Thank You! When calling Sprint the (MSL) is actually the MSID number. After the first 2 steps a password screen pops up and the password is the MSID number. Sprint gave me no problems. I'm not sure if someone answered these questions but, here it is. Also, HTC is the one who updates the phones and Sprint just transfers the data. So the at fault company here is HTC. Don't get me wrong I Love my EVO and and can't wait to pick up the EVO 3D and EVO Tablet. Thank You to All.
