Siyah kernel - Dummies Guide

Thanks Hawker old boy! :) Being a former flashaholic I can see how this would cause trouble on flashing twelve roms a day ;) Thankfully, I overcame my flashaholism... *Once again, graciously acknowledges the thunderous applause* Really now, enough with the applause........... Oh Come on, seriously ... I am overwhelmed ;) ;)

This kernel has really disappointed me this weekend. On philz kernel my phone was stable, but have had the phone become randomly unresponsive (which sometimes leads to a self reboot) on a regular basis.

I flashed the kernel via mobile odin, so didnt use the kernel cleaner first. Could this be part of the problem, if so how do I run the kernel cleaner then flash using mobile odin? I was using mobile odin as the CWM kernel flash didnt work.

I tried that way prior to flashing the odin version, but didnt work. Just noticed on gok's siyah page that someone says you cant use the CWM method on kernels before philz 3.99.

Anyways, I've ran the kernel cleaner and reinstalled siyah. Fingers crossed!

I noticed that When power saving is on, Siyah keeps screen on all time until you hit lock button. But when you turn power saving off everything is ok. Can somebody tell me why this is happening and how can I fix this beacuse with or without power saving is big difference. NEAT JB lite ROM of course ;)

and one more mayor thing :D after charging he constantly thinks that AC is still plugged in. Battery is droping, but for example BetterBatteryStats and BatteryMonitor thinks that the charger is pugged in :(

Bloody hell, you're getting as pedantic as ironass.

A spelling mistake I would have overlooked Syd old boy, but when the spelling mistake means a totally different and almost relevant product, I just had to step in!
:alberteinstein:

You almost made me look on the Neak thread to see if there was a JB kernel out for a minute Syd.
:D

Which void is that Syd?
Would that be the old GB void kernel?

Come on butty, you HAVE to stop making these inane kernel references!
:D

You got too much time on your hands Syd old boy, but if this Philz your boredom by fluxi-ing your kernel muscles, then its ok by me.
