It does work....just for a little while though. The smoothness lasted about 3 hours for me but after that it went back to stuttering on the lock screen. Honestly though, its not a big deal. My two cents.

Best way I found to get rid of lag is to download the app widget locker. Works great and you can customize the crap out of your lockscreen.

Sure enough rebooting brings back the lag, but doing the trick again fixes it yet again.

I will have to try this. Between Launcher Pro and this...seems like u have to try to replace the entire Blur, vanilla Android UI...lol

That's true. It did work until I restarted the phone, then it went back to it's normal laggy self.

I just ended up turning off the slide to unlock function and ended up using the pattern unlock feature.

I set the pattern to a simple left to right finger swype.
And its now twice as fast as the slide to unlock function.

They've gotta fix this. what a joke for a 1ghz phone.
This and the lag on the application menu, the first time you open it is pretty frustrating.

I fixed the lag forever.

I turned off the lock feature

I use lock 2.0 with the iPhone like slider. no lag

unfortunately it didn't fix it for long. I really started to lag. So I put lock 2.0 back on there. they have a new feature that allows the wallpaper to show thru to the lockscreen like the X does natively. So I'll stick with it until I got bored.

Thanks for sharing. That does suck. You'd think the developers at Motorola would be able to eliminate the lag that some of the locker apps can do.

At least you have Froyo.

It seems the majority are. Either that or ADV (i think it's that). I don't see many using the stock launcher too much in the 'post your screens' thread.

I tried ADW and I have to be honest, I did not like it. It wasn't bad, and there were aspects that were nice, but it definitely isn't for me. I tried LP and instantly loved it. I'm currently using it now. I prefer it's layout. It seems smoother and more responsive to me. I didn't look into ADW's settings much, but I think LP may have more functionality as well.

They're both decent launchers, but I personally prefer LP.
