Slim 1800mA Battery?

Tech Addiction-

How have you found the two batteries from HTCExpress? Are they decent? Any good at all? Have you run any tests on them?

Also, (general about HTCExpress.com):
Are they a reputable company? I cannot find any contact info for them on their website... at all. Also, how do I pay with a credit card? The only option I'm given upon checkout is to pay with Google Checkout, which I don't have and don't want. (on the left of the page it clearly indicates that they accept credit cards, checks, money orders, or paypal as well).

I am reading a lot and need knowledge on what you guys are referring to as OEM batteries. What are they? Please excuse my ignorance 2wards this term.

Well, for one... HTC doesn't currently make 1500 mah batteries that fit the MyTouch 4G or Thunderbolt. Show me a place that sells legit HTC OEM 1500mah batteries for either of those devices.

I didn't say that the batteries you have don't exist or are complete junk, I'm just saying they are most likely counterfeit HTC batteries and aren't made by HTC.

Go ahead and post pictures of the front and back of your batteries if you want to prove me wrong.

I really don't care about proving anyone on the internet wrong - got better things to do with my life.:p

At any rate, you are right - these don't appear to be made by HTC. They look just like the HTC ones in your post above, but when I read the fine print on the battery I don't see the same stuff I see on my OEM battery. So I think they are counterfeit.

Good correction!

The batteries still work great, thus far, and I still think they are a good deal at $25-$35. Recommended!

OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer. Basically if you have an htc phone oem batteries come from htc.

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer

Just means that a particular piece of equipment is made by the same company that made the overall device. They term is used for car parts, electronics, etc.

The batteries I bought are NOT OEM.

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer

Just means that a particular piece of equipment is the exact same as the original piece that came with a purchase. They term is used for car parts, electronics, etc.

The batteries I bought are NOT OEM.

I think that is what "OEM-Standard" means. "OEM" just means that the same manufacturer who made your phone, also made the battery, even if the battery isn't the same one that came standard with the phone.

Ok, I thnk i'd like to get the deal at HTCexpress.com, but how do I use a credit card to pay? I don't see any contact info either...

Even on the first charge Im seeing a bit of improvement..Been off charge since 0545 and at 1440 Im only 3 blocks down... Gonna give a few days (I chose to run the red one) and swap and try the other... The external charger is great.... Simple LED is purple when charging and blue when full...

Even if only as good as stock, its nice to have two spares so I can keep one at home and one at office.... Even if I forget to charge one night I can just swap and still charge it without having phone attached to wall....
