I THIIINK this is an okay section to post this in, so here goes.
I have been moving away from Android from being a hobby. When I got gravely ill back on 3/28 it had the effect of changing my time-priorities. With less years in front of me than behind, I wanted to re-tool, as it were.

As some of you, who remember me, may recall, I am an ordained minister. So.. after a long time, I had the opportunity to preach again, at a nursing home, having been sent by my church, and I loved it. I spoke about relationship with God. "If you give Him your "now" he will give you Himself."

One lady said, "you're making me cry". I told her I'd stop, she told me not to, to speak on. Another woman, out of the blue said, "I guess I need to forgive my husband"... I then spoke about forgiveness. The final thing that happened that really touched me was that a man who who was unable to form sentences due to a stroke (he could think them but they didn't come out), just struggled to talk to me, but couldn't. He just kissed my hand. I was humbled.

Finally, I have signed up to volunteer as a minister to visit the sick at my hospital. I am looking forward to that. I may not be serving you all, here, but I'm serving a people face to face. That makes me feel as if I am doing something positive with my remaining years. Let's see how it goes.

Oh yeah, I bought a new car. I got a golf tdi. (Diesel). I love the VW tech experience. :)))))

Well that's it for now. Be well! God bless you guys! :))

Yours,

Steven

It is so great to hear from you again Steven, this place surely misses your presence, but I assure you by the tone of your post you are in a better place in your life, we will never forget you, at least I know I won't, you are a great man and it was an honor to serve by your side, and I will always have your six, and if ever in a battle there is no one else I would want by my side !

That's great news Steven. You have always given a great deal of yourself here. We are all better for your efforts. You will always have a positive impact in whatever you pursue.
I do agree.... your fellow man is likely more important than installing a new rom. :) Make a difference.... you are good at it my friend.

awesome dude!

you are a positive influence where ever you go... keep up the great works.
take care.. and keep in touch :)

I'm glad you're doing something that you enjoy and that gives you a sense of accomplishment, Steven58. Sometimes, real life has to take priority over our cyberlives. :D

One thing I'd like to point out, though, is that helping people on AF does qualify as helping people. If you find that you have an hour here or an hour there, perhaps you can drop by. Or not. Whatever is right for you right now is what we all want for you.

I'm glad you're doing well. Your ministering "plan" seems very fulfilling both to you and those you help. You don't need to be a stranger here either. As always, I wish you the best my friend!!!

Oh, and enjoy that new ride!

Good to hear from you again Stephen. You've been missed here, and will be missed more, but you have your priorities and life to worry about.

I know where you are Stevie Wonder... I know where you my friend...

You are home.

Where ever it is I already know you are home.

You are an amazing, brilliant man... you have got time for many people... and you sit down and listen in such a busy world... impressive... admirable.

Wise... I thought for a quite a long time.... quite a while... maybe it came in my sub conscious for a song that reminded me of meeting you when I came to you for help more times than I count...

This 1 is for you Stevie Wonder because this is just how I feel with such a great person and such a great friend it is just the song that reminds me of you mate:

Just kidding ... :D

It's nice to see you again, Sir Steven.

Glad to hear all good things on your path. Take it easy --- be safe!

Thanks for your kind and funny replies. They made me lol. ;) I'll be around, more. :) I have a lot of irons on the fire. I have new business venture related to my singing teaching. I'm working on it, now. If it pans out, I'll tell folks about it. :)

BTW, I got the TB test done at hospital. I'm clear. :p. They said they're excited to have me on volunteer staff, as Rev. Steven. Please don't tell them the havoc I could wreak. :P
