I know there are different Tapatalks for various forums. i've never used it so i might need a walkthrough to make it point to AF.
Change can be good or bad. it depends on how much change and what is actually changing. my reaction to XF the first time was pretty close to my reaction to iOS 7 having been self-installed on my Apple products that made me give them up for Android. Only this time TouchWiz won't come to the rescue. hopefully, Tapatalk will. i do know that apps only change their UI if you tell them to update to it. i could still use early Android 2.1 and use the old browser, or use old Amazon Apps, old Kindle, old Google Play if i tried a hack, so apps don't fall victim to the sudden UI future shock that websites do.
I still miss the old iOS though, i really thought the amount of detail and how my device seemingly transformed into a real digital copy of a real thing, especially with a retina display, was fun to use and entertaining, and made it far more intuitive for old farts that i am turning into. losing that in favor of bright, pastel colors and whitespace and lack of depth reminded me of going back to the old days of IBM PC XT running Prodigy. when i accepted that i wouldn't get my fancy UI back i had to settle for Samsung which at the time offered a similar approach, which is now gone as well. Material Design helps a lot on current devices but there are times i long for the day i could open up my ebook app and stare at an actual book with 3-D page turns. or open up Alarm Clock and have it act as if it were bedside flip clock complete with amber glow. Now it's 'OK Google set alarm for 7AM tomorrow morning' and that's it. the screen stays off and only the little LED light flashes ominously. no longer the innocent desk clock i had on my 3GS. cold, sterile. modern? maybe. but comfortable and intuitive? nope. at least Google Play Books retains the page turn animation--that's all i have left of the old iBooks.
About the only Apple devices i even use today are mostly work related. my job only believes in iPhone so it's an iPhone 5S. i keep an iPad Air for times i need data coverage away from a wifi (nature walk mainly) because it was cheaper than the Android device (And smaller) offered by my carrier.
