So... What do you think of the new XENFORO FORUMS??

IIS? HahahahAHAHAaaaaHAHAhaaaaaHAHAHAAAA! .... oops, sorry.

I think MS technet has a bulletin for that error ... something to do with a pentagram and a chicken. :p

But yeah, I think Xenforo has HUGE potential. It's going to be completely phenomenal once all the bugs are worked out and feature parity is restored (for the most part). I'm pretty excited for what the future holds!

I think a lot of the old features are either improved or there, it's just we're not used to them yet or haven't found them. I've been a member here for ... OMG ... 4-1/2 years? That's long enough for an old curmudgeon like me to be able to type "OMG". ;)

The old AF had 5 years worth of tweaks and tries. We're only 5 days old here.

I've immersed myself in the forum as thankfully I've had the time. There are many things I miss about vB and will probably always have something the I prefer done the vb way. That said, what XF brings to the table is pretty spectacular and I'm probably only scratching the surface.

Desktop and mobile view are currently one and the same now, it resizes automatically based on your screen/browser size.

if possible.. combining the 2 counts together.

if it cant be done... oh well...
I think I will live.

I think the old thanks became the new likes and the old likes when the way of the dodo. If you can wait a couple of million years, they will be oil.

I'd like to have an option to turn the avatars off. I find them distracting and some are downright tasteless.
It is a bit weird that you can turn off signatures but not avatars.

By the way, feel free to hit the Report button on any post you see with a tasteless or offensive avatar. We do our best to keep this a family friendly forum, but can't look into things we don't know about. :)

we seem to have a glitch in the matrix.:p

Logged in to post reply, I use Tapatalk Pro mostly for all activity. I found the forums I frequent and can check out my profile. I followed a few more people and I'll take my "well known member" status and be on my way!!...:p :D

"Well-known member" is a default Xenforo title.

I never used Tapatalk but does anyone know if it retains the old vB format? i still miss it. and for me at least on a tablet the site loads up uber slow like a flash/script laden site does (like MySpace). no longer snappy as it was. at this point i'd do anything to get some semblence of the old site back even if it means an app!

I am a member of many forums which all use Vbulletin, and i love their simple and cleaner look and snappy load times. when i come here i get future shock even five days in.

Tapatalk never really used the vBulletin format, but it is much easier to navigate than the current layout directly on the forums, IMO. It also retained all my subscribed forums (e.g. favorites).

And I also agree regarding vBulletin. Much cleaner and easier to navigate.

There was nothing snappy about the load times with vBulletin, Nick, especially when traffic volume was high. I think we are getting into that old perception vs. reality thing here.

You are right, though that I am seeing periods of lag with XF, just like VB. I had hoped it would be better, but that's just a function of bandwidth and processing power no matter which platform you are using. Sometimes the most popular forums take a hit for being so popular. Still, it's better than the Play store on Nexus launch day. (Yes, I did just say that!)

Tapatalk provides it's own formatting and only relies on the underlying database for structure. That's why all forums look pretty similar in Tapa. Try it, you might like it. :)

Do you have the adblocker plugin installed in Chrome? It helps ... a little. (Shhhh, don't tell Rob's advertisers ... his kids have to eat ... or at least his cat does.)
