Its true though. However I do like the newUX. I found things easier to navigate, however, other forums im on have had this ui, or something very similar to it, for a while, so I been used to it for a while anyway.
I logged on today for the first time browsing from a PC (versus spending the weekend accessing AF from my phone and tablet). I know a lot of mentioned the lack of strict mobile/desktop layouts as a failure, but I'm personally quite impressed by how well the site scales to suit your screen size - and I really like how the interface remains pretty much the same. While the interface is a wholly new experience here at AF, I'm pleased with how it appears consistently (for the most part) no matter what device I'm using to browse.
Probably my favorite part of that: I like reading/browsing with my phone (or tablet) in portrait orientation; the content is front-and-center, and post text is clearly given the priority over buttons and controls. When I rotate my device to landscape, the toolbars automatically expand to make better use of the increase width - making it perfect for posting and accessing other functions.
I know there's a learning curve (like with anything) and it will take time to get used to all of the changes, but I'm extremely optimistic about what lays in store for AF's future now.

I don't think I'm quite that impressed with the mobile view, but I think it does a great job of maximizing its usefulness given a limited display size.Little secret, if you zoom to about 500% you get the mobile view on your computer.

If you use adblock plus and zoom in the site has some semblance of the original. Now if I could force the zoom to stick.
Wish the sidebar could be toggled off so the entire width of my screen can be used to focus on threads. Also the ability to change the colors they still make me sick

Awful! Tapatalk is more straight forward to navigate than directly through the revised website. I greatly miss vBulletin, which was actually a big reason I chose to participate in these forums vs. other sites. Pretty darn disappointing.

I do hate that I lost my "likes" vs "thanks". they are different to me.
and help show others that .. even though I write a lot of crap/BS. I do have useful responses sometimes.

From the thread list, threads which contain unread posts should contain a little blue dot icon to the left of the thread title. Click that to go straight to the first unread post.
Within a thread, there will also be a "Go To First Unread" button at the top and bottom of each page (next to the Page buttons).
If you still have the original image you can reupload it.
My Posts top of page, then My Subscriptions. Blue dot to right of post in forums means new post and takes you to it.

I feel you on the lost likes. I left just under 10k likes behind.
There is a little blue dot to the left of threads with new posts. Click that and it will bring you to the first unread post.

Think my question is the same but different I see up at the top of my avatar it says goes to first un-read etc...but when I first log on...it shows the 1st page instead of the last page and I dont know how to fix that in preferences. I don't want to always have to click on page 532 etc...to try to find recent posts

It's not really clear what its purpose is until you know it. :-/
That works - or you can re-upload it (if you still have the original image).
When viewing a forum - on the right under the last post column, click the post time, that takes you to the last post.I don't think we have a last post button yet sis.
