hi. can a wipe data/factory reset to fix soft (not hardware failure) bricked phone with stock rom?
Non rooted phone with stock rom and stock recovery?
iam trying to learn if the soft brick can affect the stock rom in a rooted phone and if the stock factory reset can fix that. stock rom-rooted phone stock restore.
It depends what is the cause of the soft brick. Try the reset by all means.
However, since you say it was rooted it's possible to get into the protected areas of the phone. If you've accidentally deleted some system files, then a factory reset probably won't fix it. And, since you have only stock recovery, you will need to use an alternate method to flash a stock rom as DragonSlayer has suggested. If you give us the make, model and Android version (if you know it) of the phone, we can let you know what your options are.
so what i want is what and how to flash a custom recovey and if with the rom toolbox i can make a full backup in case of soft brick do i need room toolbox+custom recovery or just rom toolbox is enough. and how without pc help can flash a custom recovery-full backup i prefer full backup without pc. tnx

However, once you do that, using custom recovery (not sure what's available for your phone) you can make a backup (nandroid) which is a full system image of the phone that can easily be restored if something goes wrong. No PC required for that.
