soft brick

Newbie
hi. can a wipe data/factory reset to fix soft (not hardware failure) bricked phone with stock rom?

Soft bricked, you mean a boot loop? Sometimes it will fix it, but unfortunately sometimes it won't fix it.

If it doesn't, your next option would be to find a stock rom zip for your device that you can flash via your custom recovery depending that you have one.

Soft brick usually means the system won't boot but the bootloader/recovery is still there.
Hard brick is when there's nothing there
Since you only have stock recovery, your best option now is to try a factory reset imo

iam trying to learn if the soft brick can affect the stock rom in a rooted phone and if the stock factory reset can fix that. stock rom-rooted phone stock restore.

It depends what is the cause of the soft brick. Try the reset by all means.

However, since you say it was rooted it's possible to get into the protected areas of the phone. If you've accidentally deleted some system files, then a factory reset probably won't fix it. And, since you have only stock recovery, you will need to use an alternate method to flash a stock rom as DragonSlayer has suggested. If you give us the make, model and Android version (if you know it) of the phone, we can let you know what your options are.

It would be easier to use a PC to flash the custome recovery and the original rom. However, once you do that, using custom recovery (not sure what's available for your phone) you can make a backup (nandroid) which is a full system image of the phone that can easily be restored if something goes wrong. No PC required for that.

yes exactly i want to make a nandroid backup with one click flash custom recovery ! do i have to search for my specific devise? alcatel s pop 4030x?

bad news, as noone custom recovery supports my device :( at least can i with titanium back pro to make full backup?

Titanium can back up your apps and data, but not the ROM. A Titanium backup will let you restore your stuff after a factory reset, but as Titanium is an android application you can only use it to make or restore a backup if you can boot the phone in the first place.
