Sony Playstation 1 (PSX) on Android working and coming soon!

Pumped! When's it coming out, 1 to 2 weeks? Can't wait, I just hope it can run many good roms. The gameboid seems to have issues with a lot, so I hope all of the PS rpgs are working.

Some PSX games play great on the N900 when OC'd at 800mhz:

Raiden 2 (my favorite)
Hotshots Golf
Gunners heaven

That is without GPU support. N900 was supposed to be a gaming mecca but is more like a gaming kiosk.
 
It has been confirmed on another forum by a member in touch with yong that he is still working on the crash bug for the legend and certain other handsets, I guess they want the first release to be all it can be for all android users. I will not be complaining though I have a moto droid, just patiently waiting for it to pop up on the market soon!
 
any more news on this beyond the initial announcement? i need to buy this asap because the android store is kinda lackin a lot in the games dept compared to the itunes app store and im sure having the ps1 game library on android would even it up a lot
 
The only news I've heard is that it's going to take a few more weeks to a month. My advice is to forget you heard about it... that way when you check back in a few weeks, MAYBE you'll be pleasantly surprised :D
 
I wish. that's my biggest issue with it. Workaround would be to attach something to the phone that the pad could grip on to. If you come up with something let me know :)
 
I've gotten used to waiting on stuff like this though. I'm conisdering trading in my Inc and getting the X for the better GPU. I've watched some youtube clips of PSX games running on the HD2 - they looked really nice. Especially old school Tomb Raider games - I'd never get anything productive done! Gotta have a good blutooth controller to play 3D games like TR well though.

Definitely try the X out before you switch. A lot of people have been switching back, and after playing with the X in store, I walked out very satisfied with my Incredible.
