Someone (bendispo) on sprint community posted the following. Thought I'd share it here:
Interesting qik account of Sprint Senior Marketing Manager:
Trevor Van Norman (trevorvannorman) on Qik | 36 videos recorded with mobile phones
Looks like there are tons of videos he's been streaming to qik via his EVO. ;-)
Including one interesting Sprint meeting... where it seems to suggest that the phone will be released in 2 months... (It talks about keeping buzz going for 2 months, when they had to keep it up for 6 months with the Pre)

So let me get this straight...Sprint is giving you a massive rebate a year earlier than any other carrier and you're complaining that they won't give you two massive rebates? You realize those rebates are worth like $300-400 and are based on the idea that they will recoup it over the course of your contract? When they let you jump a year on your main line it is like giving you a lot of money for nothing, not to mention the fact that the plans are way cheaper than the competition.
Premier status starts after you start a qualifying plan (anyone feel free to correct me on that one). I was a customer for years but didn't qualify until I added my girlfriend and bought two Pres on a family plan.
It's hardly screwing you over when a company gives you free shit just because you still want more. Compare to the competition and vote with your wallet if you find a better deal.
Also, I have heard about a new change to Sprint policy that is going into effect tomorrow. It is not directly related to 4G, the EVO, Nexus One, or any hardware, but will certainly help Sprint build up its customer base in preparation for these hardware launches.
Beginning tomorrow, the Sprint Free Guarantee gives any customer opening a new line of service the chance to try Sprint for 30 days. If a customer isn
this will also be my first android phone.

No need to be shy about it.

BTW, after a few days of lurking I decided to join. Definitely trading in my Instinct for an Evo and so excited to do so. Never had an android phone so trying to get caught up on everything it offers![]()
Looks like it's confirmed.like i said it is looking more and more like android 2.2 for the Evo. Why not make it the 2.2 flagship?

If it is only about a money back guarantee why would htc be involved with it and why would you need a webinar? If that was the case don't you think a manager would be able to talk about the moneyback guarantee that in a powerpoint presentation? Or would that be to much to ask from a store manager?

The fact that Best Buy is doing any kind of presale, or has a notion of it....tells me that Sprint might be going real BIG on marketing the EVO.
At least in my area, I have never heard of a store doing any sort of presale/reservation at least not for a phone.
I don't really think the Froyo news is all that surprising. I'm sure that the EVO, like even most Android devices already available, will one day run the newest iteration of Android.
However, I don't think the article from Neowin, nor the code from the developers' guide, suggests that the EVO will ship with Froyo. It seems to suggest the exact opposite. Since Wimax functionality is lacking native Android support, developers must write additional code. If the EVO were shipping with an Android version that included such support, this section in the developers guide--and the code it recommends--would be moot.

Noooooo.... Nexus must remain #1!!!!!

Time for the Nexus to stand aside and let it's big brother into the spotlight.
