Root Splash Screen

[darkworld260]

i was wondering is their an easy and simple way to install a new splash screen on the evo i would prefer the black splash screen that i have seen people use... i have tryed to look up guides but non of them seem up to date can anyone help?
Also why does my phone site at the white splash screen for like 1 minute for ever boot up??
Thanks for your time!

There are a ton in here. Maco does a great job making them.
On page two, there are a few i found and he made into a flashable format. There are tons in there to last you a while!

Edit: Forgot to add the link to this post.. ScorpDX posted it too

Personally I think the method I posted a few pages back is easier but that's me. If you have trobles get with maco or myself and either of us can package it up for you.

do you have to be rooted to use these splash screens

yep,
that is one of the cool things about rooting. pure customization.
