Sprint Store Online - Sold out

I ordered one from Sprint.com almost 2 weeks ago on a Tuesday, shipped on and Wednesday and my employee got it on that Friday. Just keep an eye out as they pop into stock and then out of stock pretty quickly.

Ordered my wife's Evo from Best Buy last week and as of yesterday it's going to the wrong address. THey pulled up my email address with my old home address and decided it should go there even after giving the agent my current address of five years twice.

Anyways hope it all works out sooner than later, otherwise I might have to give her mine till it finally gets to us.

Missed getting the last one at a nearby Radio Shack by about 10 minutes, today. Guy was still deciding on whether to get it when I got there.

I waited and waited for Sprint. Checked the website every hour and put my name on a store waiting list. I caved and found a shipment at best buy. I prefer their insurance plan (since I am clumsy and break everything I own) even though its $3 more.

^^thanks i just found it on google before u posted. Is the a 100% go to work when they're available on sprint?I'm on the list at bestbuy but i'll hold off for sprint if i can get 10% off...just don't wanna do it then find out it only works for other phone or something?

also this si same exact plan as 450 minute 69.99 plan except it's 59.99 and 500 minutes (just wanna make sure i'm readin right and not missinf something in the print)?

I call about everyday and asking about the availability, the funny thing is they always say they no nothing about it, then they tell you they have no idea when it will be available, then start to tell you about the features of the phone as iff I don't know them. If I am calling about the phone I think I know about the phone, they are so funny, useless, but funny. :)

Talked to the Sprint rep on the phone today said they are getting high volumes of orders and that HTC is sending them two shipments every week.

The service reps all say "soon" soon has been three to four weeks now, it is very disrespectfull from Sprints point of view to the paying customers to not give us an idea or even a reason as to why they are sold out. I have seen reports of how many EVO's HTC can produce and they can make more than one in three weeks, the amount of money Sprint and HTC are loosing daily has got to mke Dan's head spin in fustration, (just think how we feel Dan) I think that the people on stores waiting lists should at least have some type of benefit from Sprint major F-up on this product. If Sprint wants to compete with the "iPhone" types of the world that at least be honest with your Customers. A Quote from Dan "said Dan Hesse, Sprint CEO.

This delay in inventory is a very good sign for those who waited to buy an evo. Sprint store online gets the most recent builds to sell so if you're like me and wanted to wait for HTC to improve its build quality this is a very good thing. As soon as the store has them again I'm ordering one. Doesn't guarantee I'll get a problem free phone, but at least the odds are more in my favor. I'll definitely report back when I get one from sprint.com. And now....I wait....and refresh...

As much as I want my phone this week, i'd rather have the most recent build.

The first build people were the BETA testers ;)

I learned that lesson with my Blackberry Tour. I don't want to deal with that again.

I'll wait patiently.

.....Yall do know these delays have to do Samsung and the screens too.

Samsung makes the screens for HTC phones, well they used to make em. HTC is going to another screen maker for their current and future phones. No more Amoled, its LCD from here on out.

What will be messed up is with the Galaxy S and Pro coming out, and those be stocked up good....Samsung basically F'ed HTC over...

Yea, I learned my lesson with the Pre launch. Now that was a beta test both hardware AND software!

Yea but it was a convenient pause in assembly. Without it they would have continued pushing rushed units out the door. Now with this forced pause they can use the time to tweek the line.

Its called supply and demand...Just like any other item that people want. Example ipad, iphone, wii, playstation 3, etc all have been out of stock everywhere before. They are sold out and making more...plain and simple.

Thank you for being a loyal Sprint customer, and Have a great day!

Yup, waiting patiently here in Charlotte. There are no EVO's anywhere. I have a friend with ties to HTC and says they are coming. The delay was due to demand and correcting manufacturing issues. I was set on getting the Droid X, but in the end Verizon's plans were quite a bit more expensive than Sprint.

So, now I'm just playing the waiting game...

Hello, needmoretime,

Thank you for your prompt response, I appreciate it. See now was that so hard?

The thing that is upsetting the most is what most of you seem to miss, has Sprint officially said what the delay is???

How does that make you feel as a customer??

When all the other thing, Wii, PS3, etc went Sold Out, we had a word why.
Is HTC fixing problems, hopefully. Do we have a guarantee, no. that I think is the most upsetting to me.

now think about it in your job, tell your boss it will be done soon, then wait three weeks and keep giving the same answer..

So I also assume all the people saying I am a cry baby have the phone. Well lets say HTC is fixing a problem and the next run comes out and is running better and has a better build quality, I bet all of you will start bitching and want to get the new build and will find some flaw with your phone to get a new one. Just like it seems a lot of people are on their second and some their third phone already! So in that light I say if you have a phone stop thinking you are better and look at sprints loyalty to customers, all that I can see is that all the people waiting for the phones is an idea of when they might be available.

and to the people saying that the Third party stores are getting phones of the old build, lets think about that. If the phone is sold out it is sold out. Now the new run in the HTC plants would be the new build, so unless HTC is building two builds at the same time this makes no sense. I dont think there is some magic bunker hiding all these phones from for people who are getting them third party wise.
