StarFront: Collision now available

The landing page showed up early this morning and it now shows up on my phone to purchase. It's pretty good that a RTS game like StarCraft works well on a phone.

According to this review, it is almost unmanageable on a phone. I probably wouldn't even attempt it without a tablet. The screenshots look like their full of nasty clutter :(

I bet it's something you can get used to though. It still may not be as pleasant as playing on a tablet, but still enjoyable. Like that review said as well, it's the first full RTS games and is unrivaled, so the "clutter" will probably seem minimal after a while.

When I first got the game I jumped into a Skirmish and had no idea what I was doing, so I quit and played through the tutorial. After playing through the tutorial I have to say it's really not that bad once you get used to it. I'm just thrilled to have a StarCraft like game on my mobile.

Nice, it is available for the Evo too, tempted to pick it up on BOGO. But just don't know what else to get with it...

Spiderman, Let's Golf 2, Dungeon Hunter 2 and Modern Combat 2 are my favorite, I would highly recommend any of those.

Spider man is not BOGO, and I already have the rest lol. I am hoping settler HD will come out for the EVO in a couple day and be eligible for BOGO.

I wonder how you download this game on tablets? I guess that I need to barcode scan it when I get home to see if that will work. Really been looking forward to this game.

Hmm that reminds me. I do have a Nook Color running CM7. This game will actually rock on the NC. So tempting... but then again, waste a BOGO now or wait a couple day to see if other good games comes out??? decisions, decisions.

How did you get this BOGO (I'm assuming that stands for buy one, get one free)?

Yep for sprint costumer, if you go through the sprint portal vision.sprint.com, there is a link in the download section for BOGO deal for gameloft games. Not every game qualify for the get one part of the deal, but over 50% of the game do qualify, including DH2 and MC2.

From what I understand, the games marked with an asterick* are the ones you can select as the free game, so you can buy Spiderman and then select one of the other games for free.

At the top of the page the offer says "Incredible offer: Buy any game here and get one FREE!"
Then at the bottom it says "*Games with a star next to the title are eligible for free download"

But, what you seem to be implying is that you have all of the games that qualify as a free download, correct?

Asphalt 6 got an update recently that fixes all the issues I had with it. If it's available for BOGO and you don't have it you should consider getting that.

I think that I'm going to give it a go tonight. I read in a couple forums that some gameloft games do work on the Xoom (even though they aren't intended to), so I'll drop the $5 to give it a shot. If it doesn't work, I'll beg gameloft for a refund.

Ya, at least all the one that interests me. Maybe I pick up EL for the free game. But I am not really into JRPG.

Hmm looks like Asphalt 6 is not available for the Evo :(

A bunch of whiners in that review. If it plays like the version on my iPhone4 it will be fine. Better than the RTS games I played on my WinMo phone.

After having played through the tutorial and the first couple of missions, there really doesn't seem like there is that much clutter (IMO). It's nice that you can zoom in and zoom out too, similar to Warcraft 3.

EVO users bewarned though, it's not the smoothest running game due the the Adreno 200... :( (though still playable and enjoyable to some degree).

it amazes me that 10 million galaxy s phones strong and these guys still don't have support for this line for the newest releases....guys come on

Ya there is slight barely noticeable lag playing on my Evo, but still very much Playble and enjoyable.

Although what the biggest concern for me that the game crashes alot. Sometime by just doing random things... I hope that Gameloft will release the a patch that will fix the crash issue soon. In the mean time just remember to save often...

Oh and this game rocks. Definitly a must buy for any Starcraft fan. There is quite amount of depth to the game, I been playing Warden on Skirmish, and after a few games, I still haven't explore the different units and strategies for the units yet. One of the few con to the game is the control is not as accurate as I would like, but not bad enough to take away from the enjoyment of the game.

I think part of the inaccuracy of the controls is due to the lag. All of the different controls in the tutorial seem to work as smooth as butter, since there are no textures to render.

Has anyone been able to do skirmish mode on elite? The other three settings weren't too difficult but they get a massive army pretty fast...Any strategies?

A strategy for mission eight on the human campaign would be nice too...

Has anybody successfully installed this game on the Droid X? I was able to install the apk file but I keep getting an error when I try to download the game.

Elite difficulty is not hard at all, use 2 close by turrets to hold off early incomings, repair when turrets are hit, and tech to vehicles or fast air, go Air to Ground first if going fast air, stay close to turrets for AA protection. Upgrade air or ground armor and gun when you have atleast 5 unit. Then keep massing units until 30 food then go ultimate unit, then attack. The trick is to survive early cpu rush.
