Hi there! Dont mean to be rude but I'm having trouble in getting the dt a2sd to function properly. I had been using that link2sd, but when you install a lot of apps using that it can quickly eat away at internal memory so more apps decreased phone performance.
Anyway, I flashed Hroark's ext4 partition and installed that, and then installed a2sd. I'm not quite sure how this app functions in terms of creating a link on the sd-ext.
Titanium backup says I have a partitioned sd-ext of about 4gb using a2sd, but when I open the a2sdgui, and go to sys info, says that I don't have any more space on partition besides like 98 mb or something.
edit: I've managed to get A2SD up and running. It checks out through the terminal emulator after running the 'a2sd check,' it says that I have it properly installed, although its reading an EXT2 partition, instead of ext4. I'm trying to figure out what exactly I'm messing up in the process.
I flash Hroak's EXT4 mod, then reboot, then partition the sd card.
After restarting from that, I move the ext4 zip and dta2sd zip to my phone, reboot and then install them while /data and /system are mounted. I install the ext4 zip first, then rebooted, then I installed a2sd. My system booted and I have functionality, but upon opening the a2sdGUI I see that it says apps are internal storage, behind the 'working' loading message, then it loads and it says apps are on sd.
When I click for the info screen I see the following:
internal: 119 (157mb)
sd-ext: 86 (92mb)
/cache: 86 (92mb)
ram free (total): 142 (288mb)
This is the result of my confusion. I'm not understanding why there is a discrepancy here... I think it must be because I am doing something wrong.
If anyone could provide a nudge in the right direction, I would massively appreciate it very much for their graciousness.
I am in a state of confusion. Lol
Thanks, Rob
