Root Still no GB

has anyone else not received the update?? I feel like I'm out of the loop on this one

You should be able to pull it from what I've heard. Go to menu>settings>about phone>system updates and it should find the update and download it for you.

I haven't actually done this myself but it's supposed to work from what I've read.

A to be honest, this phone has been pissing me off big time. It is slower then ever.

What does it say when you hit "Check for Updates"? Does it say "Your phone is up to date"?

If it's anything other than "Your phone is up to date" then it's an error and the update is available, but your phone isn't finding it.

I guess I could do that..I was once rooted then unrooted..had roms then went back to factory.. I wonder if any of that has to do with it..the phone started running bad about a month ago..

Download that, put it on your SD card, and install it using the stock recovery. No root needed. It's exactly what would be pushed to your phone via the OTA update.

Yeah you could do what binary said.. or just root it again use that same link to get to .596 then try some GB roms

its been awhile since I had my phone rooted.. Is z4 still the way to go or should I do it the old way? When I used z4 I remember my phone always using all the cpu and that was the main reason I unrooted. The phone ran like shit

yeah you need to be on .340 to get the GB update..

I guess you could SBF it to .340 and start with a fresh phone again?

I just did this yesterday and it downloaded and installed just fine.

First I sbf'd to 2.3.340 (because I was already on rooted 4.5.596), did the OTA update by going to System update and forcing/pulling the update; afterward I had to sbf back to 2.3.340 and install the 2 part update to get back to rooted GB

i did this and my phone was still running .320. so when i got off work i flashed the .340 and everything went well. i kinda like the new look but im not too sure what has changed yet..
