And has a dual-core processor, a much better camera, a screen that can show 16mil colors(not 65k like on the EVO) ICS,

To also add to TommyD, NFC, extremely better standby, records 1080p at 30fps, 4gen Dual S4 processor(krait), Sense 4.0 (lighter and Quicker), Kickstand can do both way (3 position total that I can think of), Default 16GB & Expandable memory...This is a huge difference in power level between the phone!

Yes it has lots of better features and if you love the OG EVO than get this one I am sure you will love it. I went from the OG EVO to the 3D and it wasn't as much of a big deal this is. I can't wait to get it.

Me too, I hope that the shiny part isn't as ugly in person.
It even looks much better in person (:)). I'm sure for those who want a different (back) color will be able to have that option in the near future.

I don't think I've ever been so excited about another device. Where the heck is my phone. Lol

Agreed if I can just replace the top half of the back I'm tempted to just not even wear a case the rest of the phone is just THAT sexy.

EDIT: now i feel silly i didnt realize how new the phone actually was, if mods want to delete this post that would be just fine.

Hello, looking for an upgrade I have had the EVO 4G for a long time and i essentially don't want to fix what isn't broken. I use my Phone for music (streaming Pandora, ubuntuone, and music/audiobooks on my SD mostly used to stream via bluetooth to my car) after that comes the usual navigation/email/sms/browsing/photos.

The root support for the EVO 4g was great... was, but its fallen off. I like to try new roms and kernels and have plenty of experience using them but i fear that my phone is falling off the back of the curve and fewer poeple are putting less time into the older platforms.

I know this is the LTEvo forum but be honest is it worth upgrading now or is there a phone you all are waiting to come out so you can switch. I'm also looking at the new razr on verizon, my contract with sprints ends in November and would be switching then if i decided on razr.

Thanks for reading any advice is appreciated.

Wow didn't realize this phone literally just came out, this sub forum has been around awhile and has quite a few users i guess i just assumed the phone had been out awhile.

Well technically it just came out to Best Buy and Sprint stores yesterday. People who preordered had them for a little over a week.

Thinner, lighter, faster, brighter, longer battery, etc etc.

Held up to am iPhone 4 ... Lol.. Obviously much thinner, but much lighter too.

Ya this things rocks. Thread will be moved. :)

A friend of mine who I work with has the. Razr maxx... Your not missing much lol... LTEvo trumps the Razr IMO.. Screen doesn't come close... LTEvo is thinner... Lighter.. Camera yada yada yada... The carbon kevlar back would be the only cool thing :D

I saw and played with one for the first time yesterday. Wow! So thin and extremely light in comparison to both my Evo 3d | Evo 4g. I can't wait for my upgrade to take effect - and yes, even if some other device comes out before then...I'm still adding this →"bad boy to my Evo collectives. ;)

So the demos are in the store....humm....I will have to stop by one of my local Sprint stores and check it out.

Now I kinda miss the EVO.. Am I nuts? Haven't been around here much, how's the EVO holding up? On a side note, I think the EVO's camera is better than the S3 but my battery life seems better on the S3..... I'm lost lol

Same here, I'm very happy with my phone. I saw my son with his new S3 yesterday and he felt the Evo had the better camera of the two. He also said he burns through his battery pretty fast and he's a pretty light user so I'm not sure what he's doing wrong, lol :D I turn wifi/mobile data off when I'm not using them and my battery usually lasts me the whole day.

Love it. Don't regret not waiting for the S3. Do wish Sprint would get with the network fixin' though.

No complaints from my battery. I'm currently at 51% with off battery for 5hrs and 21min and on screen time of just under 3hrs, I'm a heavy user. Just hard to guage the forums as it only seems ppl post about their problems but for some reason I'm missing the EVO

After having the phone for awhile now and putting it thorough it's paces. I have had no regrets upgrading from OG EVO. Except for the Google Wallet debacle, which was not that big of a deal for me. IMHO, feature for feature LTEVO ranks as one of the best phones money can buy, if not the best! LTEVO has been amazing.
