Try the one attached. I think that I attached a Sprint HTC Hero radio the last time anyway. It should have worked, but this one was the official Eris July 2010 OTA radio.

MD5 is c96ad832cfa22f1f1cf56f1a45b8a5ef

It's possible that there is an error where the radio is flashed. I don't think so, though; there was no error in the flash in the photo you showed in your last post.

vladrytskiy,

Your first image looks like the radio did flash successfully...did you check the current baseband version in the Settings -> About phone to verify?

Congrats on the S-OFF HBOOT and the new recovery ;) :).
yes it looked like twice to be ok i made 2 attempts to flash it, but in hboot as you see there is the old one version.
Thanks on congrats, by the way it is the second time me getting an S-OFF on this phone in two days. yesterdey in the eve i accidently flashed 1500 hboot and got LOCKED owo...:D
so it means that there is no ROM on the phone now and i can't get in the Settings -> About phone.

I'm confused the phone is out of service :(

Can the old radio version be the reason of it staying out of service ?
Updated.
There is no service because prl number differs from operators.

Sory for my nub questions, this is the first CDMA phone which i'm flashing.
It's much easier to flash GSM phones.

Edited once more tried to flash radio from thhe first post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=650121
No luck.

And one more time:
Couldn't change PRL using this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22927403#post22927403
It doesn't show me the MSL.

In order to use QPST on the Eris, you cannot use a CyanogenMod ROM, so you can't do it on GSB. You do need to use a stock-based, 2.1 ROM. xtrSENSE is a good one.

The good news is that your radio will hold the PRL after you flash GSB back. Actually, you can create a nandroid backup of what you have now, wipe data and flash xtrSENSE, go through the steps to flash the PRL, and then nandroid restore back to GSB. Actually, you could also nandroid backup the xtrSENSE flash to go back if you ever need to use QPST again.

I do have xtrSENSE on my dropbox: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/220420/Eris/xtrSENSE/xtrSENSE5.0.1.zip

When you first run it, it will insist on activating your phone. Let it try. You can disconnect the call as soon as you hear it trying. After three tries it will give up and allow you to continue with the setup using WiFi.

My guess is that there is a flash bad block issue where the radio is stored, so it can't actually update. At this point, it's likely not worth trying to continue.

Oh it's rather good point of view, cause i feel myself like i'm raping it)))
And one more question when i'l flash xtrSENSE i'll loose root and custom recovery am i right?

You shouldn't....xtrSENSE should be pre-rooted and flashing the ROM should not touch the custom recovery.

You've done great here, by the way! :) Big props to doogald for taking the lead here, but excellent work on your part, too.

Been a while since we've had an active Eris rooter--happy to see folks still using our beloved little guy.

Yea, i see, it's prerooted.
1. Get your MSL number. Do this by getting an app from the market called terminal emulator. type in:
su (hit enter)
getprop ril.MSL (caps sensitive, then hit enter)
your MSL will be there. It will be a 6 digit code.
i can't get it !

Go back to the phone and open up the dialer. Enter this: *#*#8778#*#*
Nothing ever happens!
Does this topic usfull for Eris users?

Is it possible, that i killed radio by flashing wrong zip?
Edited.
5 minutes ago i tried to do the same commands on phone of my workmate the same result, the only thing differs his phone fully functional and regisered in network. (It was moto droid.)
I'm in despair :stupid:

first off, congrats on your clearing of bad blocks from recovery. you have indeed done a fantastic jobin bringing him back to life :smokingsomb:

on to your other issue,i dont believe that guide is useful for you. if you are flashing your eris to a different cdma carrier, you cAN try an app called 'msl reader" from the market. just download and run it,and it should pop out your msl.

on the eris, you should be able to get to the info screen with *#*#4636#*#* and you should be able to get to DIAG mode to use QPST with ##3424#,although i do not know how much help we can be with the process of flashing to a different carrier :(

it's funny but i made only monkey-job copy-pasting & pushing buttons:D
you guys made real great work by providing usfull information.;)

so i have my msl it is 000000 .
i have found my operators prl.

things i haven't found are driver to diag mode of eris it is shown as an unknown device in device manager.
any step by step instructions how to change prl exactly on Eris.

Next objective is changing the phone number...
If you have any ideas you're wellcome;)

I mistyped before - you need a sense ROM for EPST, not QPST. I knew it was one of those...

Programming the phone number should be in the ##778 menu, under NAM settings. See here: Smartphone Manual Programming: How to Manually program your cell phone HTC Models

Or here (which tells you how to *unprogram* your number to bypass activation for a WiFi only Eris): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216571

Anyway, once you successfully program the number, you will be able to restore or reflash GSB and the number and PRL programming will stick.

:smokingsomb:
And the last objective was done!:smokingsomb:
The whole info i've found here its in russian:D
Guys GREAT thanks to you. You realy helped me a lot and did GREAT work!!!
Special Thanks to doogald , scary alien , scotty85

It will be very hard to wait untill monday expecting the number to be activated:rolleyes:

awsome sauce! :smokingsomb:

im very glad your eris is not only living again, but successfully reprogrammed!

we are happy to help. and i venture to say learned a couple things along the way!
