Root stuck on white screen (htc evo 4g)

:( Im new to the fourm but im am new to this i have a serious problem....my phone is stuck was stuck on the white screen so i went down to recovery and it froze on the htc evo 4g screen then just cut off got really hot and now i cant turn it back on at all it dead

Welcome to AF!! What happens when you plug your phone into the charger? Also, assuming the battery is good and has juice, what happens when you pull the battery out then back in then power on?
 
Welcome to the Forums! See if someone here can help you. There is a really good chance.

Is your phone rooted? Do you have a custom recovery? Can you get to it? have you wiped anything? Have you made any nandroid backups?

What happened to get your phone in this condition in the first place? Not necessarily in that order... :)

Ok, can you access your recovery?

Power the phone down and hold the volume down and power buttons simultaneously until the white screen appears, this is your bootloader or hboot. Please type what you see here.
Then use the volume keys to highlight the recovery option and use the power button to select.
Does it boot into recovery?
If it does please type what you see.
