Root Stuck with HTCdev

LinnEVO

Newbie
Hi, new to this forum. Im trying to root my evo 2.3.5, im new to all of this. Idk if im stuck at or what. When I start my phone in bootloader mode, I highlight FASTBOOT and press power. Then it brings up

BOOTLOADER
REBOOT
REBOOT BOOTLOADER
POWER DOWN

If I press power when BOOTLOADER is highlighted, it just goes back to

FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
CLEAR STORAGE
SIMLOCK
HBOOT USB

What does the first screen say before you go to fastboot? gives us the hboot and the s-status

you need to be in fastboot to do the command in the HTCdev method. when it says bootloader as an option that is the fastboot screen. from there on your windows command you enter the command:
Code:
fastboot oem get_identifier_token
