so has anyone noticed there is no live wallpaper on CWM6? or am i missing something?

I'll save you some time. Here is the scoop (and I like both).
CM7 It's Gingerbread. Some more features but also more bugs which are stated on his wiki. Some say it's visually more pleasing but that depends on your launcher and what themes you have and like. I do like the Huawei start-up logo better.

CM6 It's FROzen YOgurt. Not as "cool", because it's not the Newest. But it's FULLY FUNCTIONAL. And more in line with our phones. Hell my friend's Droid X is running Froyo (I just checked a little over an hour ago). And I just downloaded the Honeycomb theme (it's cool, but I'm thinking about switching back to Golauncher for the Blux theme ).

Bottom line is this: If you are the latest and greatest type go with CM7. But if you want fully functional then go with CM6.
Both are only going to get better and you can backup and restore to switch between them if you want.
Next payday I'm sending both Isaac and Pip contributions!

rooting is like jailbreaking from what lil I know about jailbreaking. Rooting allows you to do alot more than just install apps. It allows for far more customization, new roms, limitless really.

Def worth it.

FYI for anyone on this.. CM6 is fully functional (minus not being able to get the camera button to take a pic, but minor detail) as of 04212011 release.. Link to official wiki is CM6-Ascend - Prepaid Android

I used Icarus for 2 months it is a great ROM. I just did CM 6 today. I miss Swype though. Everything else is great.

I was in the same boat.. goto Swype | Text Input for Screens and sign up.. its free.. they will send the link to your email once you register..

Ultra Keyboard has a thing called "Tracing" it is almost identical to Swype. I could never get Swype up and running on Cm6 or Cm7 (Tried beta, different .apk, etc). It works just as well as Swype in my opinion. It's got themes and other customizations. It's a worth it app in my opinion. ^.^

Also, Glad to see people using Icarus too. I had it for 2 months. I have to say that it really made me love my phone. I'm on Cm7 now, I love it even more. I liked Cm6 too. I think that it's awesome people like Isaac, Pip and others do what they do. *Smiles*
