SuperPad III's

Do you own a SuperPad III?

After accidentally hit the unroot button on the Z4root, my superpad3 was booted up with problem. it hangs every time I press the home button. After doing the reflash, now everything works fine, but noticed that the camera is not working now, no image shown on the screen, just lines of color jumping up and down. Hope that some guru here can help me out. FYI: the camera works fine previously.

Thanks, but my files are read-only. I guess I need a procedure to "root" (is this the proper term?) my device.
Or can I just modify the file in a downloaded firmware and flash it on my device? Or have these firmwares a checksum?

Yes to edit it you would need to be rooted. Google Uberoid or Modroid for great custom firmware.

Looking at your file bgprotection and the losttime are the two for sure to change. The correct your region if you are in the US

Which ones should I use for italy?
And which ones for bgprotection and losttime?

But I don't understand: why should I specify the SSID? Can I connect only to ONE wifi network?!?
I think this file should be actually edited by the wifi configurator... but it does not! Which file are wifi settings stored in when I use the wifi configurator on an android device?!?

Im still strugering with my superpad, broswer is so slow, apps are a shit in Android market and cant watch catch up tv

Is there any soloutions??

How old is it, where did you buy it from, what FW does it have installed?

Bought off a guy on ebay
All i wanna do is stream/watch vids online

Even typing this the writing cant keep up!

Can watch vids from vimeo but no bc iplayer or other websites

Can't play youtube in any browser or play catchup tv/bbc iplayer Someone please help before i launch this at the wall. The only good part about me buying this thing so far is the fact the conning dink that sold me it sent 2 by mistake LMAO and he aint getting one back. :rolleyes:
 
Prob is we can't offer advice as new tabs are appearing all with the same FW date, but they are different, hopefully the FW gurus can sort out the kernal issues and get a useful custom rom working.

At your own risk, you could try the custom FWs, you could ask your supplier if they work or not and see what guarantee they offer, and see if you can get a factory rom to revert back to if it all goes tits up. Try both custom FWs out, tim5a and FlanFlinger, you may get lucky.

Try the youtube app rather than browser. BBC iPlayer is an ongoing issue.
 
Cheers lfc4ever for the quick reply. However i don't think i would get much support from the supplier so ill have a read around and maybe take a chance as you say. But me and Lucky don't usually go together LOL
 
I have found that if you run Dolphin Browser and put YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. in the address bar you can play youtube vids perfectly. Also better still you can set up a gesture of a Y shape so every time you run the browser you can gesture and be took straight to youtube. Hope this helps someone, Click the blue text to see link in your address bar as not showing it on here.
 
Ah - the mobile youtube link in Dolphin works quite well, good spot, thanks for sharing.

Has anyone come across a similar problem with the camera and if so please help! When i run the camera it says "Please insert an SD Card before using the camera" even though i have one inserted. I have tried diffrent cards and same message apears also the Gallery won't display any pics. It did work intermitently but has now given up the ghost.

Just done a factory reset by turning the pad off and booting while holding the power and menu buttons at the same time. Now my market has opened right up i can now access a lot more apps. Still got the problem with the camera and gallery seing the sd card though :( so if anyone knows a fix plz let me know.

I haven't noticed anyone else with that model number.

The camera doesn't work and I'm having trouble updating the firmware to Tim 5a - nothing happens after putting 2 files on SD card and booting up.

Oh deer, yet another one for the pile LOL this is just getting better at least i got 2 pads for the price of one LOL
 
Have just flashed Tims 6a rom and WOW! runs and looks fantastic. Thank you Tim ya a star * My cameras working again by the way :) just need to check everything else and will post good or bad that i come across. :D
