Swype beta just expired

Yes! Thank you for reminding me of that! Just downloaded the latest one, and it's working flawlessly. I'm going to do what you did and theme it. Thanks again. You rock!

Well, it's not so much that anyone is "keeping secrets", but that it is against the forum rules to post (or provided links to) pirated apps, aka Warez.

I legitimately cannot remember where I read the thread about the themed versions of Swype. However, if a themed version of Swype is considered to be Warez I'm sure that thread has been deleted by now.

Will this version expire as well? I don't see any discussion about it on the Swype website. I suppose we can log back in later on and get the latest working version if it does.
 
Count me into the expired. Time to try the alternatives until the swype guys get off their asses and release the thing.
 
mine expired too but I just got an email from swype with the beta download, so I'm back up and running..I'm not tech savy enough to figure out how to upload it but I'm sure someone else will.

If you signed up for the beta through Swype, you won't have to worry about the expired app issue. When there is an update, they will notify you and you can install it. The reason it was a problem a couple months ago, and apparently yesterday, is because it's an "unofficial" version.

This is where I eventually found the new version last night. It was kind of a PITA to find and get (mostly since I had to register for the forum), but I got it now and all is good. I understand the forum rules here, so I;m not mad about it or anything, it's just crappy after you're so used to having this sweet keyboard, it expires and it's annoying trying to find a new version to replace it, cuz there's no way I can go back to the stock keyboard after using Swype, heh.

I am trying others out cause swype is dragging their asses. Shapewriter is free until June 20 when they pull it from the market.. I'm testing it out now.
Not sure if swype did but shape writer can store password and cc numbers.
Swype is wayyyyy better functionality wise.
 
I wanted Swype...I signed up for the beta on their website just this past weekend.

I got an email TODAY to download and install the latest beta (7625). So, I don't know if it's really just a matter of waiting a few days, or I got really lucky...but I'm now a legitimate Swype user! :)
 
Not sure if anyone was aware of it, nut you can get and early beta APK from rom manager. .... download rom>>> smoked glass-esque>>> exque extras. it downloads to your SD card. jsut use a file manager to install. I can't say if it still works or not, but worth a shot.
 
Is anyone else having problems getting the new beta working? Mine will not work at all, it just traces then the sides blink and nothing is entered... I've been using it fine since the officle beta came out... Now all of a sudden this new beta will not work :(
