T-day and Black Friday

I hate crowds. So naturally I don't like to go shopping on Black Friday. My heart goes out to the employees at retail locations who will not be spending much time if any at all with their families just so we can fill our materialistic hunger.

Besides, I never usually see anything I want to buy.

EDIT: For those planning to go, be sure to remember your tasers, knives, pepper spray, guns, etc. and may the odds be ever in your favor.

You may want to use the Force to :D

I actually work at Walmart (for almost 14 years) and my normal days off are Thursday and Friday. This year they changed my schedule to Tuesday and Friday off just so I can help with the Thanksgiving sale. I normally work in Produce but hope to soon transfer to the new liquor store (even though I don't even drink lol). Oh well it will be a change of pace for a day.

I love shopping at Walmart. It's where I'll be getting Christmas gifts this year.

I'm starting to see posts on various forums about there being nothing to go out to the sales for.

Most just ordered the same stuff at the same price online with free shipping and didn't have to endure nasty crowds, no parking, and early hours. You can shop in the middle of the night if you want.

Not starting a new thread, but wife and I had fun taking part in small business Saturday. Hit up several neighborhood stores. Some were offering sales and giving away free gifts with purchases. Got some great stuff and happy to support them. :)
