And still no word from VZW? I must say, its as if they just don't care at all. I hope Samsung Charge sales completely bomb tomorrow, and this weekend.
their "word" was a twitter update acknowledging the issue and that they are working on it. still waiting on a further update.
That what the machine said when I called *611. . . "We are aware of the current problem with some of our devices, we are working on the issue."
3G is back up just south of San Jose, CA....for now.

Jinxed myself. Back to 1X...![]()
I think the best thing to do is turn on wifi if you're at home or work and stop worrying about 4G. The network will return when it returns. Otherwise, we'll just go crazy checking the forums every two minutes. haha.
Weird thing is my work phone is on Verizon also (not a smartphone) and it says I have 3G.
It's my fault. I got the Thunderbolt last night and didn't get home till about 11p Eastern when I was finally able to start playing with it. I must have taken down the whole network somehow. Sorry guys.

4g up here in houston, didn't even know there was an issue going on until i got to work and read about it. wife's TB, co workers TB and my 4g mifi card all rockin.
that's because 3G is unaffected. unfortunately, it seems like the TB has an issue with its 3G/4G switching, preventing our precious devices from settling on 3G. sad, indeed.
and by the way, i tried the XDA fix and it's working. apparently i neglected to save changes last time...

Just an FYI on the XDA fix... Make sure you change it back after the LTE comes back on.![]()
Fargo, ND checking in with no 3G....Until I did the XDA fix!
Just think about it if you were one of those people who paid $100 for an aircard and are shelling out $60 a month for access! That REALLY blows.
