Root Tether Challenge (rooted Evo 4G)

Just rooted my Evo 4G (Revolutionary 4.0.1.4)
Android 2.3.3
Software #4.53.651.1

Installed android-wifi-tether
3.1-beta6

My iPad can see the SSID it seems to connect but in reality have NO Internet access. I tried all I know to fix the issue and nothing worked.

PLEASE help!

I don't use wifi tether all that often but are still on the stock rom? And is this the "Wifi-tether for root users"?

make sure your device is enabled, its a setting in the wifi tether. My iPAD will connect, but if I dont enable it or set it as a trusted device, it wont allow it to use the internet.

Yest, the tether is enabled AND and I 'authorizing' the iPad. It shows as connected but when one open the Safari and/or any other Internet application, is NOT connected.
 
I havent trid the wireless tether app from the market, but I have no problem tethering my Ipad with the sprint hotspot.....
